Request Services is looking for carers to join our team to support a gentleman with Muscular Dystrophy, who lives in his own home in Bitterne. The client is an extremely social chap that enjoys chatting and having a laugh, he enjoys watching tv and watching the football. He is fully verbal and can direct his own care. Carers are required to observe the clients ventilation machine, assist with moving and handling, and see to his needs throughout the night.
The shift times are:
Mon-Sun - 22.00-06.00
We can currently offer up to 3 nights per week in this package. We can supplement this with work within our other packages to make up full time hours if needed in the surrounding area.
We must also insist that all members of the care team work at least one weekend per month as the package needs to be sustainable. There is an increased rate for the weekends.
Client Specific Training will be completed prior to beginning work with the client, and we will support new members of staff with their transition into the care team.

Tracheostomy care and changes

PEG (gastric) feeding
Bowel and bladder management
Our staff members commonly come from the following backgrounds: Complex Care Worker, Support Worker, Care Assistant, Nurses, Nursing Students, Domiciliary Care Worker.

Salary: From £11.00 per hour
COVID-19 considerations:
We require all staff to undertake weekly PCR tests for COVID, which we provide. All necessary PPE is provided on site for our staff.
