At Halecroft Grange π, we came together to mark Holocaust Memorial Day with reflection, remembrance, and respect.
Our resident Alma delivered a beautifully worded and deeply moving speech, honouring those who were lost and reminding us all of the importance of remembering their lives and stories. Following her words, we held a two-minute silence, giving space for quiet thought and remembrance.
Alma also shared something incredibly personal β a handmade quilt lovingly created for her by her aunt. The quilt was embroidered by her aunt, who Alma believes lived through the time of World War One and worked as a nurse in a hospital. It served as a powerful reminder of personal history, resilience, and the human stories that connect generations.
Moments like these remind us why remembrance matters β not just in history books, but in our hearts and in the stories we continue to share.
