We do things differently ~ Senior Teacher shares why she was passionate about doing her second 200hrs with us, after years of studying Pranayama she knew the approach we take would further her knowledge with the scientific rigour we pride ourselves on.

We are directly connected to India’s most prestigious research institute and also comes with decades of experience with both her teachers & Dr. OP Tiwari, both who have been involved in scientific research studies of both breath & asana.

Sometimes
It is all just too much

Sarvāṅgāsana ~ is a daily ‘must do’  within any intelligent sequence, so let’s observe why this is, by viewing when science meets Yoga.

Inverting the body has many therapeutic benefits, allowing the blood to return back to the heart, placing the body in a passive state as the heart has no need to work so hard. 

•promoting healthy thyroid & parathyroid function 
• improving circulation and effects of gravity om lower limbs
• removing disorders of the ovaries
•relaxes and tones the diaphragm
• regulates nervous system, relieves nervous disorders
• flushes out lymph improves digestion 
•preventing constipation flushing out toxins and waste products 

However this posture must be avoided if there is hypertension, high blood pressure, cervical spondylosis or operative stages of hernia.


At Evolve Yoga Training  we emphasise the therapeutic benefits of each asana, to empower you with the knowledge of why we do what we do.

We began in February, and start with in depth exploration of how we breathe and how to optimise the breath for better mental & physical health.
Calming the nerves and stilling the mind.

We connect to the postures breath by breath.

We break down postures into their tiniest of elements, from gross to subtle.

Practicing a sequence custom built for your body based on the well rounded Ashtanga sequence.

You get to study what the ancient yogis knew about our powerful potential.

Over the course of these months you notice small shifts in your own body and mind, and share the more vulnerable parts of your heart in a loving community .

I didn’t start the course with a plan of becoming a yoga teacher. I could never imagine standing up in front of a room of people and “teaching” I wanted to explore why we experience that “off the mat” feeling…. I was intrigued as to why we feel compelled to stick with yoga, when other fitness modalities come and go…and it’s because yoga isn’t fitness, it’s medicine for the soul.

The impact of a regular practice along with integrating some of the more subtle philosophical teachings into life has made a massive difference to my self-confidence, outlook and my interactions with every other human being; from my nearest and dearest to strangers in the street!

I am now sharing what I have learned with others…a concept that was almost unthinkable this time last year.

I now have 6 weekly classes with a regular community of students. The difference between where I started and where I am, is incomprehensible…I often have to pinch myself !

Master your breath to master the mind

The stress we feel is most often a result of faulty breathing habits and/or trauma. Our minds have got into the habit of responding to a short and restricted breath.

This Prānāyāma Training is designed to take our distracted minds into a more embodied and calm state which automatically allows our stress and anxiety to release. 

This two day experiential experience allows you to drop through the layers of resistance to be-come more present.

Opening the gateway to meditative awareness and unlocking the power of our minds With sharing the wisdom from living tradition from

When you arrive, we will concentrate on downgrading the nervous system, so you can get out of your mind and into your body.

We focus on opening the major muscles which are often tight and restricted, unlocking faulty breathing habits. 
Movement and Asana on both days will enable this process to evolve as you deepen your experience through the breath.

Welcome to Evolve Yoga Training, what makes this Training School unique is it’s approach to teaching the correct and efficient management of the breath as the foundation stone of Hatha Yoga. Our approach is to respect the traditional Hatha approach to placing good alignment of the movements of body and breath around a central axis, this alignment is conducive to meditation, so we can feel the deeper elements and benefits of Yoga as a means to transform the mind.

Our approach to asana will take you on a journey, exploring the traditional Hatha postures and how they have evolved in to vinyasa styles, a transformative and progressive experience, opening up more space in the body and using intelligent movement patterns to expand the breath to bring about a calmness of mind and a better connection to self. We have a fully integrated approach fusing the traditional roots of Yoga with modern scientific knowledge, that our teachers share with dedication and passion, always from the heart so that you teach form yours, consciously evolving one peaceful warrior at a time.
