It is with great sadness and heavy hearts the family of Alan Robertson announce that peacefully and not alone within A&E department of ARI on Tuesday 16th Dec he lost his fight with his ongoing lung condition.

Much loved husband to Patrice, treasured Dad to Pauline, Dawn and Faye, dear Father in law to Grant, Norman and Sim, exceptional big brother to Ian and an ‘out of this world’ Granda to Cailinn, Erin, Tain, Elliot, Olive and Effie.

We know Dad made a big impact in and around Stonehaven having ran the BP Garage - Mill Inn Filling Station with Mum for 35 years.
We wish therefore that all those who are able to attend the service to commemorate our special man which is to be held at
Baldarroch Crematorium,
Crathes on Monday 5th Jan 2026 at 2.30pm
feel drawn to join us and share their memories.

We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to Otto, Roz and the rest of the team at A&E who went above and beyond for Dad on Tuesday.
Thank you also for all the cards, flowers and support we have been shown, we’ve been truly humbled by everyone’s kindness during this difficult time ❤️

Today. We lost a legend. My dad. My hero and we are utterly heartbroken.

He taught me how to swim.
He taught me how to drive.
He tried to teach me cribbage (but that didn’t stick).
He taught me how to paint.
He encouraged my creativity.
Fuelled my obsession with whales, dinosaurs + UFO’s
He wasn’t afraid to hug me
He laughed with me and was silly with me.
We shared special moments most weekends with the band.
He helped me move to England.
He helped me build my business.
He helped us renovate our home.
He gave solid life advice always with a hint of silly.

I loved him. He was absolutely everything a dad should be and more. He worked so hard. But still gave us his all. I’ll miss you dad. I promise to keep your legacy alive in our girls and teach them what you’ve taught me.
