This makes me giggle .

What you don't see is that 90 minutes earlier last week when this was taken. These two were out in the Sun...then the rain...then the sun again. Running outside, hauling kettlebells, lunging with sandbags, throwing 4kg balls at 9ft targets, then giving it their all on the air bikes, rowers, SkiErgs and even Burpee broad jumps ( why stop when you suffer in style ? ;-) ).

But after all of that they managed a sweaty, smiling thumbs up, like it was all just a casual Sunday lol.

Sarah-Jayne has been trainig with me over 2 years and since January 2025 alone, she's dropped an incredible 35kg.

She's married, works full-time and is a busy mum. Yet still made the time to train, show up for herself and get amazing results.

Was it easy ? No.

Was it worth it ? Absolutely.

So what's changed apart from the obvious transformation.

She's flipped her mindset around training .

She now sees food as fuel for energy.

She's built real body confidence.

So much so that she's been taking on fitness events throughout the year and January 2026 she'll step up to the big one: HYROX Doubles in Manchester.

Why am I sharing this ?

To inspire and because we all start somewhere . Sarah-Jayne did and so can you.

This is going to be massive, running from 21-25th January, our team snapped up their places through early access tickets, available exclusively to members of approved HYROX Training Clubs before the general release.

As an official HYROX Training Club with a certified HYROX Coach, we'll be guiding these amazing athletes through structured phases. Foundation, Engine, Power and Complete phases layered with run specific coaching to make sure they're not just race ready but ready to absolutely enjoy the whole experience.

But just as important, every single member of our community is achieving something worth shouting about. :-). Some are chasing events like HYROX, while many are simply here to feel stronger, fitter and have more energy for every day life. That's what makes the training we do so powerful. It adapts to people's goals.

Whether it's getting ready for a race or simply feeling proud of yourself each week for me this is what it's all about.

Well done to everyone that's secured those tickets and again well done to all our members for showing up and supporting each other.

You don't have to go all out to make progress!

It's easy to think that by training longer or pushing yourself to the limits you will see results.

The truth is much simpler and let me take a moment to explain.

Progress comes from showing up. Consistently.

One workout will not change your life.

But it will change your day and if you have done it before you know I'm telling you the truth.

And enough days will change your life.

That's how confidence is built.

That's how your energy returns.

And finally that's how you get your body back

Stop Wasting Hours in The Gym !
Train Smarter When Your Over 40

Most people think more time = more results. Truth ? It doesn't work and I have done this, it's about structure, not long hours of training.

At our studio in Timperley near Altrincham 40-60 minutes for majority of people 3 x a week, is all you need

Oh a few thousand steps in between sessions. Trust me your body will thank you for it and you'll recover a lot quicker.

If you're tired of wasting time and little or no structure to your training message me.

Stop dreaming. Start doing.

How many times have you told yourself you'll start on Monday ?

Or when work eases off...

Or when you "feel ready"?

But you know deep down those days don't come. Life keeps getting in the way and the longer you wait, the further away you feel from the person you want to be.

I've spoken to so many people who are in this place. Stuck in their own head, doubting themselves and their abilities to change. Then something clicks, a penny drops and they take that first small step.

That's when everything starts to shift:

- Confidence builds

- The body begins to change.

- Food feels easier, not like an everyday battle.

- Energy and love for life and even relationships with others change .

It doesn't happen by waiting for the "perfect time."
It happens by starting.

Maybe this is the reminder you needed today.

Over the past few weeks, a little voice has been chipping away at me...

I had to look up the definition of Imposter Syndrome recently and it's exactly how I've been feeling these last few weeks.

The nagging voice that says:

- You're not good enough

- You don't really know what you're doing

- People don't like you

The list goes on.

I know none of this is true, I see the results our members get every day, sessions have a real buzz and the feedback I receive is great.

But I think part of this feeling comes from what's going on in the world right now. It's so unsettling and it's easy to take on all of the burdens. To carry more than is really ours to carry will only lead to unhappiness and burnout.

The truth is, we can't control everything around us. What we can do is:

- Stay aware

- Take responsibility for the things we can influence

- Let go of the rest

That's the reminder I'm giving myself going into the weekend.

How do you handle it when the weight of everything starts to feel too much ?

The team have been putting in the work and itโ€™s nearly time to show what theyโ€™re capable of.

Weโ€™ve got singles, doubles, and relay teams all stepping up. The event looks like this:

- 600m Run before each station
- Air Bike
- Wall Balls
- Rowing
- Burpee Broad Jumps
- Overhead Dumbbell Snatches
- Sandbag Lunges
- Kettlebell Farmers Carry
- SkiErg
- Sled Push

Then a final 200m dash to the finish.

Our athletes are aged 42 to 61. Most never imagined theyโ€™d be training for an event like thisbut with the right support, structure, and encouragement, here they are. Stronger, fitter, and enjoying the process.

itโ€™s not just the competitors. The support from the rest of our members has been huge
cheering them on in sessions, helping with practice runs, and keeping the energy high. Itโ€™s what makes this community different.

Some are now looking beyond this event and setting their sights on events across Europe.

What have we created?

Not monsters.

A thriving, supportive community where ordinary people achieve extraordinary things.

No Excuses...Just Smart Adaptations!

One our members is recovering from an injury on holiday, but instead of stopping completely, he's staying consistent with modified adaptations.

Whether you're starting out for the very first time or seasoned gym goer but bored of the same routine. We ( where possible ) modify our exercise training sessions to help you succeed.

It's not all about being perfect, it's about showing up and doing what you can with consistency.
