𝗙𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹, 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗼 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 !

It whispers things that sound true:

- You'll fail again

- People will judge you

- You're too old, to unfit, too far gone to make a change.

This voice speaks in your own voice and after a while you start to believe it.

So you stay stuck.

Start to feel comfortable with being uncomfortable.

You feel safe but deep inside you are slowly suffocating.

You tell yourself you'll start when things calm down.

When work is not so demanding.

When the kids are a little older.

But here's the truth: fear never disappears, it just waits.

It waits for you at every new level in your life, challenging you.

The only way to silence it, is to act and go through it.

The first gym session.

That difficult conversation.

The new opportunity you nearly said no to.

Every time you step forward despite the fear, you collect evidence that you're stronger than it.

You build self respect.

Momentum.

Confidence .

When this happens your life starts to expand. Your body, mind and everything else starts to fall into place.

So maybe it's time to stop waiting for fear to go away and start proving to yourself that you will not let it stop you anymore.

You are capable of more than you can even imagine, if you stop negotiating with your own fear.

𝗗𝗼 𝗜 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗳𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 ?

This is a photo of me taken years ago, on a beach somewhere warm.

I remember how uncomfortable I felt in my own skin.

Growing up, I was always aware of how my body looked, what people might think and how it compared. Even now, I still have moments where I notice things I'd like to change.

But here's what has changed over the years:

- I don't train to fix my body anymore.
- I train because I love what my body can do.
- I don't starve myself to lose weight
- I make conscious decisions on the types of foods that will fuel my body.

For me, movement has become the reset, the place where my mind clears, my confidence builds and I take a moment to remember how far I've come and that's what I want others to experience too.

Whether you're training to feel better in your clothes, to push harder, or simply because you enjoy it, it always comes back to one thing.

Last weeks Tuesday session

The guys we're out through their paces last week in one of our new training sessions.

Combining strength and conditioning with adaptations for some of our new members who recently joined.

𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝗿 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂?

I think too many of us have put everything ahead of the relationship with our own bodies.

Let me explain, we've become success driven, image driven and time poor in the process of chasing what we perceive is perfection. We've stopped listening to what our bodies actually need.

Instead of fuelling, strengthening and looking after ourselves, we push harder, eat less healthy and replace with convenience foods, stress more and call this " normal life".

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵:

You can stack up every excuse, work, kids, time but at some point you have to decide.

𝗜𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘁 ?

Because one day, your older self will look back at the choices you're making right now.

Will they be proud of how you showed up for yourself... Or wished you'd started sooner?

As a 57 year old, I can tell you this. NOTHING matters more than staying strong, fit and capable, so your future self can live life on your terms.

Sundays are for slowing down, allowing your body to get stronger and just enjoying the moment.

I love just getting out in the fresh air, walking in the park or just taking advantage of the zip line being free and acting like a big kid again 😂.
