✨Caesarean Awareness Month✨
Recovering from a caesarean can be tough, and it’s completely normal to need support while your body heals 💜
Moving around may feel painful at first, which is why pain relief is so important. For some, paracetamol and ibuprofen are enough, but many mums will need something stronger.
Strong painkillers are usually not needed for more than a few days, but everyone’s experience is different. If you’re in pain, please let someone know and ask for the support you need.
Find out more about C-sections and breastfeeding in our factsheet:

We were honoured to be asked by Dame Laura Kenny and the BBC to come along to one of our breastfeeding drop ins and really proud of all involved ❤️

There are a million things I could have said about what we do in Trafford and the wonderful families with whom we work with but hopefully what came across is the empathic and non judgemental care you can expect from us in the infant feeding team and health visiting service as a whole. Rachael ❤️

* Infant formula recalls*

For anyone who is concerned about the recent formula recalls here is a comprehensive list of all the products affected from the Food Standards Agency.

If you have an affected batch, stop using it and use a different product. There are details of how to return affected products for a refund.

We understand this may be a worrying time for you, please reach out for support if you are worried about your baby ❤️

We understand that recent infant formula recalls may be causing worry for parents and carers. Our information page explains which products are affected and what you should do.

Batches from brands including Aptamil, Cow & Gate and SMA have been recalled. If you have formula at home, check the batch code as affected products may still be in your cupboard.

If you have an affected batch:

- Stop using it
- Return it to the store for a replacement
- You can switch to another batch or brand
- If formula was prescribed, speak to a pharmacist or doctor first
