Hi I’m Tracey, the person behind Caring Companions on Call 💚💚

After working as a carer in the community for over 10 years, I saw how many people were falling through the gap — not needing full-time care, but still needing support, companionship, and someone they could trust.

That’s why I started this service.

I truly believe everyone deserves to still enjoy life, no matter their age or situation. Whether someone has stopped driving, lost a loved one, or simply feels anxious getting out and about, having the right support can make all the difference.

For me, it’s about more than just getting from A to B.
It’s about companionship, reassurance, and helping people feel like themselves again — whether that’s a hospital appointment, a day out, or just a friendly chat over a coffee.

I provide door-to-door support, stay with clients throughout appointments, and offer calm, reassuring companionship every step of the way. There are no long term contracts, just as and when you need it.

I also have extensive experience supporting people living with dementia, which allows me to provide understanding, patient, and tailored support for both clients and their families.

So far, the response has been incredibly positive, and it means the world to know the people I support feel safe, valued, and cared for 💚

“Some more questions I’ve been asked about my companion & es**rt service 💛

I’ve had some lovely conversations recently, so I thought I’d share a few more questions that come up:

❓ Can you take someone to a wedding or a funeral?
Yes 💛 I can accompany clients to special occasions, offering support throughout the day so they don’t have to go alone.

❓ Can you travel longer distances?
Yes. I can support longer trips too, as long as the client is comfortable to travel.
For example, I’ve recently been asked about a visit to Bristol to see a friend in a care home… something that wouldn’t have been possible alone, but together we can plan it with breaks and make the journey comfortable.

❓ What if I need help during the journey?
I always plan ahead. We can stop for breaks whenever needed, and I bring essentials like water, tissues, and anything to make the journey easier and more relaxed.

❓ Can you take a wheelchair or walking aid?
Yes, I can take wheelchairs and walkers in the vehicle.

❓ Can someone stay in their wheelchair in the car?
No, I’m not equipped to transport clients while seated in a wheelchair. Clients would need to transfer into a seat, but I’m there to support safely.

❓ How far can you travel?
I’m flexible 💛 From local appointments and short trips to longer days out or visits to see loved ones, we can plan something that works.
