😎 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 😎

On one hand, there’s that little voice in your head reminding you that the kids are only small for such a short time.

You hear it over & over…….

“ The days are long, but the years are short.“

And its true 🥺

Before you know it, they’ll be off doing their own thing, and you’ll miss the chaos, the noise, the constant demands of snacks & never ending chorus of “Muuum”.

But on the other hand can we be real for a second? - your absolutely exhausted 😩.

Six weeks of spinning plates, trying to keep everyone entertained, fed & vaguely clean while still attempting to get anything done.

So, here we are, nearly 6 weeks into this marathon & the finish line is finally in sight.

The kids will be back in school soon, & while you’ll miss the lazy mornings & spontaneous adventures there’s something else on your mind: the desperate need for some “‘me time.”

And guess what?

🌟𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐝𝐚𝐲…….

Now, if you think my day involves swanning about with a needle in one hand & a coffee ☕️ in the other, let me set the record straight……

It’s like juggling a dozen tasks while making sure my coffee doesn’t spill (again) & trying to remember where I put my phone - always the last place to look 😫

One of the things I love most about my job is the opportunity to connect with clients & see how their confidence grows with treatment🌟

There’s nothing quite like seeing someone walking out of my clinic with a spring in their step & a smile 😁 that says “I feel fabulous”

Todays agenda includes a mix of consultations & treatments.

First up, we have a treatment which is a microneedling device used to improve the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles without the loss of facial expressions.

Then, a new client consultation……these are always exciting because it’s where the magic ✨begins. I get to hear about their goals, concerns & occasionally their funny beauty mishaps!

Then we have some mid face filler to help replace some lost cheek volume - one of my favourites as it gives such a youthful glow back.

But it’s not all needles 💉…….

There’s also the less glamorous side: admin, phone calls, the occasional tech support call because let’s be honest, social media knows how to test my patience 🤯 - sometimes lunch happens - sometimes I just lose the day.

🌟𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗜 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰,
I thought I was signing up to help people look & feel their best.

Little did I know, I was secretly applying for a dozen jobs at the same time!

Let me tell you, being a clinic owner means 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗮𝘁𝘀.

One minute I’m an aesthetic nurse injector, the next I’m playing customer service rep, soothing someone’s panic over booking the wrong appointment slot. ( “No worries, we’ll fix it!”)

And social media? 😫 oh that’s a full-time job on its own.

I’ve spent more time trying to find the perfect lighting for treatment photos than actually performing treatments.

Hashtagging, filtering & posting are now part of my daily routine - who knew I’d become a part-time Instagram model too? 😜

Then there’s stock checking.

I never thought I’d care so much about needles, gloves 🧤and ever-elusive numbing cream (“Are we out again?! How is that possible?”)

Don’t get me started on when we run out of coffee - it’s a full blown crisis.

And let’s not forget being the clinic cleaner 🫧🧹🧽

When did I master the art of wiping down treatment rooms while dodging clients & delivery boxes all at once?

Oh, and entertainer? Yes, that’s me! Keeping patients relaxed while they’re trying not to freak out over a tiny injection, distracting them with stories & jokes.

So, while I may have thought I was just opening a clinic, I somehow became a one-woman show.

But honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way 🩷
