My Improvement Network

My Improvement Network My Dementia Improvement Network create and provide Reminiscence Interactive Therapy and Activities (RITA) combining interactive games and entertainment.

“Our origins were established in 1990. We have been associated with the development of touch screen technology in working with the elderly for over 10 years in which time we have continued to co-develop the user interface, based on the consistent channels of feedback from our user community. My Improvement Network evolved from humble beginnings that culminated around the care and desire to help a

person in a care home with dementia. That desire was personal because the person who had dementia was a member of my family. Knowing this relative and how they had previously spent their life, their career, their successes and the resourcefulness immediately affected me. I felt that there must be something positive that I could do that could enrich his life and allow his time to pass in a much more qualitive way. I was also fortunate that I had the resource to take this forward. Its evolution therefore, was in part accidental, but with the sole driver of ‘making a difference’ and because I believed that there had to be a better way to try and help to stimulate people affected by this condition and relieve their boredom”. Our software has existing and on-going proven clinical outcomes, that show the use of this software in a caring environment is of benefit to those using it. It has shown great promise of improving the quality of life, and also creating a lasting legacy for the user and their family. Take a regular NHS Hospital ward/Local Care Home environment, and in vision the type of lifestyle these people of our community receive. Sometimes, raising above the standards set but sometimes falling short, whatever the reason may be. If you have one of our touch screen DRTS computers you can guarantee a focal point of interest and a general conversation starter for patients/residents and relatives alike, and just as importantly the staff working too. If you would like a proven example, we can offer you a free trial run to demonstrate how effective these systems can be in the healthcare environment. Alternatively, you may have heard about us from one of the hundreds of NHS Trusts we work with, or care homes - and are already interested in purchasing the software, in which case:
