We had a lovely social tea in memory of our much-loved resident, Eric Mullender 💙
Eric, along with his wife and family, has always been such an important part of our Timperley family. Their warmth, involvement, and kindness have meant so much to us all over the years. While they will be deeply missed, we truly hope this isn’t goodbye and that we can keep in touch moving forward.
The afternoon was filled with lovely conversation, fond memories, and delicious nibbles. It was a chance for everyone to come together, reflect, and celebrate Eric’s life and the joy he brought to those around him.
We are incredibly grateful to Eric’s family for their generous and meaningful donations. They have gifted us a football signed by Manchester City players, which we will be auctioning to raise funds for a good cause—something we know would have meant a lot to Eric. They also donated a beautiful bench to be placed in our garden as a lasting tribute, creating a peaceful space where his memory can live on.
Eric’s passion for football was a huge part of his life and happiness. His roles as a Manchester City scout, a coach, and a player himself—continuing well into his mid-30s—were a reflection of his dedication, energy, and love for the game. But above all, family and education were at the very heart of Eric’s life. He was a devoted family man and a dedicated teacher, roles that meant the world to him and through which he touched so many lives.
Thank you to everyone who joined us today and helped make it such a meaningful tribute. Eric will always hold a special place in our hearts. 💙
