✨ It’s been wonderful for us to celebrate this beautiful human being today — the second Reiki Master to receive their certificate from Alvechurch Reiki!

Witnessing ‘s journey over the time I’ve known her has been a true privilege. She’s shown unwavering dedication to learning and deepening her Reiki practice, growing (and GLOWING!) more with every course she’s taken with me. 💫

She is a heart-led practitioner whose insightful observations and radiant presence make her an absolute joy to know. I’m so proud of her and excited to see how she continues to share her light with the world. 🌟

Just for today - the Reiki precepts for a Parent Carer; the mother of a son stepping into adulthood.

I have been ruminating on writing this for several days now, as my family and I slowly get the wheels turning again on some tasks for my son. Inertia had set in - because preparing for the future can feel painful and frightening when your young person (he’s 18) has significant additional needs and limited capacity. There’s a constant, saddening realisation that nothing is straightforward…

I’ve been reminded of the heavy wave of emotions - and especially the FEAR - that swept over me in the early days of his diagnosis. Choosing the right educational provision for him, rethinking early decisions (more than once)... it all comes flooding back. But now, I have my Reiki practice to anchor me. And with it, I can meet that same overwhelm differently.

The Reiki precepts are a powerful tool for bringing about a healthy perspective. Of course, I know from experience (I also have a 16-year-old son without Learning Disabilities or additional needs) that you don’t need a diagnosis to feel crippled by fear or overwhelmed when contemplating your child’s future. But I’m sharing this today in the hope that it resonates with another Parent Carer mother navigating thresholds……

I’ve wanted to do a cheesy “intro post for my new followers” for some time!…

🩵I have so many passions and so much heart to pour into all of them. Although sometimes I feel scattered and overwhelmed by all the things I’m trying to do, it’s what makes me ME, after all, so I find it hard to not do any of it!

My passions all centre around 🤍HEALING and LEARNING🤍

🩵🩵Motherhood defined me. Being a mum to my two boys, now young men (blink, and time flies!!) has shaped me into an infinitely better person. The challenges faced by being a SEND mama has seen me grow in ways I could never have imagined. I navigate a potentially terrifying path that challenges me to trust in what’s meant to be every day and the choices me and my husband (also my best friend 🤍) make on our eldest’s behalf.

🇪🇸🇫🇷Languages was my first passion and I treasured the day I first realised I had dreamt in French and then in Spanish. (How do you know which language you’ve dreamt in? Believe me! You know!) Developing fluency in a foreign language opens up neural pathways that open up new depths to your being. I’m forever grateful to my parents (who were both amongst my first Reiki students!!) for instilling that importance in me.

🌀Reiki came into my life at a divinely timed moment when I was navigating bereavement and crippling anxiety. Reiki immediately became a passion. Every day I see that it’s a practice that supports me in every way imaginable and I see how my clients and students benefit greatly, too.

👩🏼‍🏫I’m learning and growing all the time. I have flowed from self doubt to accomplishment and confidence, staying humble and curious to keep learning. I’ve got some BIG learning coming up this year!….

I’m a cat AND a dog person! There have been Charlie and George 🐈🐈, Jessie🐈‍⬛, then Hector🐾❤️ … and now Ripley 🐾💜.

💚I’m grateful for all the beautiful friendships in my life 💚

🪶🪽I love spotting kingfishers, herons and buzzards.

I crave the sea 🌊 I crave the mountains ⛰️

☕️I’ll have an oat latte or a matcha oat latte. I’ll have it hot or iced!

The energy of Tuesday 10th June 2025 was certainly “a feeling” and a very energetic one at that!

The first Beauty, Wellness & Mindset Event hosted by Women Who Business Community and held at the most beautiful venue The Granary, Worcester was nothing short of a success.

I am honoured that I got to lead Guided Meditations crafted to awaken, energise and harmonise those that participated.

I loved getting conversations going about my Reiki offerings as visitors completed the QUIZ and I had a big smile about the lovely lady that won a FREE REIKI TREATMENT with me🤍 I cannot wait to see her and she has booked in already.

I loved exhibiting alongside many fellow women in business such as the inspirational Jo of Flow Holistic Therapy, everyone’s cheerleader to name but a few on our beautiful beamed space on the top floor.

I loved exploring what other businesses exhibiting had to offer and really touched that I won ’s prize draw! 🥳

Huge huge thanks and kudos to Lisa Lloyd for unflappably pulling it all together and making it happen, whilst also making sure I wasn’t nervous for my offerings. You are an absolutely legend Lisa xx
