Welcome to Barnt Green Zen Den, we are a Yoga studio dedicated to well-being and creating a relaxing and holistically rejuvenating experience that will leave you feeling refreshed and renewed. We offer a variety of classes including Vinyasa Flow, Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga and Chair yoga for Seniors. We wanted to create a compassionate environment for people to practice yoga. Everyone is welcome, all ages, abilities, backgrounds and body shapes. Here you’ll find a light and airy yoga space, free mat hire, no fuss interiors, classes 7 days a week and of course our awesome teachers. Whether you’re a complete beginner or seasoned yogi, we have the right class for you.

We are back with a full timetable in September so please check it out as there may be some changes to times and class style.

Chair Yoga is back on from Monday 1st of September and Hot Yoga is also back in October.

We hope you are all enjoying the bank holiday weekend. Last week we sadly said good bye to our lovely teacher Riah. We hope to see Riah again once she has settled into her new job.

As for Riah's Classes, Lucy will be taking over the Monday morning class and Jess will teach the Tuesday morning class.

We wish you all the best in your new job Riah & see you soon.

✨️ Meet the Team ✨️

Jess is joining the team in August, she'll be teaching restorative and dynamic vinyasa...

"I have always enjoyed moving my body in a variety of ways including strength training and running. When I stepped onto a mat for the first time several years ago, I knew yoga was going to be a new love in my life & it gave me an insight into something no other movement had. 

Since then, yoga has been my ‘me time’ and where I return to time and time again. 

I love how it’s a practice where you continuously learn more both physically and mentally. 

Hooked and wanting to share this feeling with others I completed my Vinyasa flow training with Hotpod Yoga in London in 2023. 

I am passionate to share the balance yoga brings to your life and mind, my classes will not only help you focus on staying present but also are a reminder to listen to your body and your intention"

Jess's first class will be on Tuesday 8th of August at 9.30am - join us for a restorative vinyasa flow class.

Chevk out our schedule for next week! Don't miss these classes!

For a lot of us, summer means the routines change and often we have lots on the go with events and outings with the kids - but don't let that come between you and your wellness practice!

When things start to get overwhelming it's usually our yoga class that we cancel and say "I'll go next week." But remember, the hardest part is getting to yoga class, after that there are never any regrets. 🧘💚✨

Please note, two teachers are away on Thursday 10th - and unfortunately we have not been able to find a cover teacher for the morning or evening class and therefore both classes are cancelled. We apologise for the inconvenience and we ask for your understanding.

Have you attended Leminh's classes yet? Some know her as Mini, and she may look like a pretty princess but she's a powerhouse of note too! 💪🔥

She teaches Vinyasa flow, Hot Yoga classes on Monday and Thursday evenings as well as the very popular Sunday Yin most Sundays AND Chair Yoga.

Here are some questions we get a lot from people who have never tried yoga before:

⭐️ I’m not stretchy and can’t touch my toes, is yoga for me? ⭐️
YES! That is the whole point, you join a yoga class to gain flexibility, mobility and strength. Loads of yogi’s can't touch their toes but they still benefited from a regular yoga practice.

⭐️ I can’t meditate so I won’t be very good. ⭐️
Yoga isn’t about being good or not, its non-competitive. The reason yoga and meditation are called ‘Practices’ is because that is exactly what they are. An exercise that you keep trying on a regular basis again and again regardless of the result. Each yoga class involves a little bit of meditation and it’s a great way to bring meditation into your life as a beginner, if you feel you don’t know where to start on your own.

⭐️ How many yoga sessions do I need to do per week? ⭐️
As many as possible! But of course, that is not possible for most people so we would recommend 2 classes per week as a minimum in order to really start to notice a difference in yourself.

⭐️ How can yoga benefit me? ⭐️
A regular yoga practice builds physical strength and stamina, and flexibility and mobility in tight joints. Yoga also helps with anxiety, supports calmness of mind where the ‘rest and digest’ automatic response kicks in, helping recovery and lowering blood pressure, breathing rate and heart rate as well as triggering other functions like digestion. This also leads to better sleep and mindfulness.

⭐️ I’m really unfit, how do I know which class to join? ⭐️
If you are a beginner or feel that your level of fitness is not where it should be yet, we would recommend our Hatha for All classes as well as our Yin classes. These are gentle classes that will allow you to ease into it, after that you could try our Hot Yoga or Vinyasa are more dynamic and much more challenging.

This form of yoga allows you to sink into a deeper connection of body and mind in this serene, meditative experience. You’ll be guided through relaxing postures with long holds designed to access deeper flexibility in both muscle and connective tissue. The warm glow of candlelight helps to focus the mind inward, releasing stress and resetting your energy.
