From meeting rooms with a view… to meetings underground. That pretty much sums up our latest Learning in the Community day.
Each year, our team are given 3 days to dedicate to sharing skills and supporting local organisations through Impact Internationals 'Learning in the Community' initiative.
John Matthews, one of our senior consultants, has been supporting Kendal-based charity Bendrigg Trust for the past few years with leadership and management development.
Most recently, John joined Bendrigg’s senior leadership team for a monthly meeting with a difference - in a cave in the Yorkshire Dales - before welcoming them for an away day here at Kelsick Grammar.
The focus? Performance, giving and receiving feedback, strengthening connections, and making sure the whole team is pulling together behind Bendrigg’s goals. They explored how to better support staff, encourage a growth mindset, and promote innovation.
As Bendrigg Director Nick Liley shared:
“This work has already had a massive impact on the team and how we work together. We are so incredibly grateful for the support from John and Impact International.”
Bendrigg Trust is an exceptional charity. Their outdoor centre on the outskirts of Kendal enables disabled people to build confidence, resilience and independence through a host of adventurous activities. We’re proud of the relationship John has built - and we’re excited to keep supporting their brilliant work.
