Re: Rugby pitch-side Emergency First Aider

Patrick Esson Osteopathy are seeking a talented and enthusiastic practitioner to join their team providing matchday cover to Amersham & Chiltern RFC.

The part-time self employed role requires match day (Saturday or Sunday) availability throughout the rugby season (September - May) providing pitch-side emergency first aid to Amersham & Chiltern teams at home and away matches.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience working in sport in an exci/ng and rewarding environment outside of the clinic. It is suited to an individual who works well in a team, who is confident in ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of the squad.

The role involves performing pre-match taping and sports massage, where appropriate, and pitch- side first aid duties. Dedication and commitment to provide high quality care on Saturday afternoons (possibly some Sundays) is required throughout the season, from September to April.

Salary:
This is a paid position, home and away match renumeration dependent on experience and will be discussed at interview.

Requirements:
Essential - Degree in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, Sports Rehabilitation, Osteopathy or Chiropractic. Appropriate registration with HCPC, Society of Sports Therapists, BASRaT, GOsC or GCC with relevant insurance.

Minimum Level 3 Emergency First Aid qualification, preferred Pre-Hospital Immediate Care In Sport qualification or desire to complete ASAP.

Desired – Sports Taping, Sports Massage, Diving License and own Transport, pitch-side experience.
