We are extremely excited to be part of this wonderful event ! Please stop by and say hello to us !
UPDATE (28 November): We regret to announce we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel this weekend’s Hearing Dogs Christmas Market due to significant health and safety concerns.
The forecast for Saturday shows persistent heavy rain throughout the day. As overflow parking was planned in one of our fields, and there's currently no alternative for overflow parking, the ground conditions now pose a high risk of vehicles becoming stuck and, more importantly, an increased risk of injuries for visitors accessing the site.
As a result, we are unable to operate the full market, as we cannot safely accommodate the number of visitors expected.
However, we are pleased to say that we will be able to offer a couple of our indoor ticketed events and will have the following activities running for pre-booked guests only.
- Pre-booked Santa’s Grotto tickets
- Pre-booked craft classes
- Restaurant reservations
We will also continue offering tea, coffee and a cake sale.
This scaled-back version means we can safely accommodate visitors using the main hard-standing car park, without relying on overflow parking.
We appreciate this is very disappointing news, especially at such short notice, but the safety of visitors, volunteers and staff must take priority.
As you may know, this is now the second year we’ve had to cancel due to adverse weather. As part of our event review, we’ll be exploring alternative options for the future that aren’t as vulnerable to weather conditions.
If you have already bought tickets for the event, you will be contacted and offered a full refund. If you have any questions, please get in touch with events@hearingdogs.org.uk.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
