If you’re dealing with itching, redness or watering, these tips can help:

• Avoid rubbing your eyes, as this can make irritation worse
• Keep windows closed on high pollen days where possible
• Wash your hands regularly to avoid transferring pollen to your eyes
• Wear sunglasses outdoors to help protect your eyes from pollen

Do your eyes often feel sore, gritty or tired?
These can all be common signs of dry eye, along with watering, redness, blurred vision or a feeling that something is in your eye.

Dry eye can affect day-to-day comfort more than many people realise, especially if you spend a lot of time on screens, wear contact lenses, or notice symptoms more in windy or air-conditioned environments.

If your eyes have been feeling uncomfortable, it may be worth looking into the cause rather than simply putting up with it.

Did you know that the vision test your child takes at school isn’t the same as an eye test at the opticians?

School screenings are basic checks to see if your child has reduced vision in one or both eyes. They don’t assess overall eye health or vision quality.

An eye test at the opticians goes much deeper! It looks at how well your child can see and checks their eye health, helping determine if they need glasses or any other treatment.
