"And you begin to perceive the movement in a physical way. You perceive the gliding of the movement inside you, as a wave that moves through the depths of your living matter.
And this slow gliding, this marvelously slow gliding, triggers within you, a more intense emotion, a sense of yourself that is more intense.
Then we can understand that the movement is not just an energy, but that it is the expression of life in your life. It is life in motion that flows in your body in the same way as the blood and the lymph do.
And here you do not see the moving forms of the movement, but you feel this gliding of the movement that awakens the life of your cells and that changes your level of awareness, your inner state, your biology. It is a unique sensation of being yourself."
Danis Bois

Below, a little reminder of this beautiful meditation #84 on the theme of making the invisible visiblle, as we embark on a new year. Our next series of meditation begins on Wednesday 17th January

"This meditation is about being connected with the inner movement. It is a ‘step 3’ meditation.

The chronologie of this meditation enables you through a 5-stage process to assess where you are in terms of your experience of the inner movement.

Are you able to make your own inner silence audible?
Does your connection with the movement take the form of a shift from one state towards another, whether physical or mental?
Or the form of a dynamic and embodied feeling state within your living matter leading to physical and emotional experiencing?
And finally is the movement that you are experiencing within you connected with a vaster movement which transcends your bodily contours, even your understanding?

The gradual process of this meditation, with training, will enable you also to go through these five stages.

But most often, the inner movement, though it is present in the meditation, is perceived solely as shifting states : physical (warmth, stress release, decreased pain) and mental (better cognitive function, apeasement of the mind and positive thoughts).

The other stages are more difficult to access and reinforce happy stability. They also enable meditators to explore the potentialities contained within the act of meditating to achieve a meditation that is accomplished and life gratifying on the basis of a tangible lived experience".

Since this term of live meditation with Danis Bois began, we have explored the theme of stability, and how the stability we connect with in meditation can be extended into our daily life.

#82 - How can we let a happy stability take form in meditation and taste the pleasure of meditating, of being here, together

Danis Bois is particularly keep to establish stability in meditation, as a prerequesite to meditating fully. But the term stability can have a connotation of something a bit right, a bit cold, a bit willful, whereas Full-Presence Meditation is about experiencing a ‘happy stability’.

It is by going into silence, presence and the sense of self through an ‘ascension towards depth’ that Danis Bois guides this meditation towards a happy stability. As well as consolidating their stability, participants develop in this way their ability to feel nuances in the inner states they experience during the meditation.

“It is very important to feel the nuances.”
“You have now created the conditions for silence. You know how to select silence over the surrounding sound atmosphere. You know how to be present to silence. You even know how to adorn silence with your presence. And you are beginning to perceive the active part of silence, when silence becomes animated by a slow movement.”
“But what use would these new abilities be without pleasure, without the joy of experiencing these moments, without the pleasure of meditating, the pleasure of being together, here, now.”

“Meditation is a process whereby sensations are magnified, with feelings that animate your sensitive chord, that bring about a particular mood, a little extra bit of soul. ”
Danis Bois

To conclude, Danis Bois invited the participants to reconnect with the pathway to this happy stability alone.
“Now, when you have time, you know the pathway to this happy stability, so give yourself special moments to explore each of these steps.”
Danis Bois

This is the third meditation Danis Bois has guided in his weekly online meditations, on the theme of stability. Each particular theme theme chosen by Danis Bois is explored over three consecutive meditations. Looking forward to discovering what the next theme will be this week.

Continuing on the theme of stability, Danis Bois explored how to bring the stability of the meditation into daily live through a particular protocole centered on motionlessness, that he encouraged participants to practice to achieve more lasting stability in life.

#81 - Towards lasting stability - Cultivating grounding
"What is the purpose of motionlessness?
First it is to create silence,
to become aware that the body does not move
and that we are in a particular posture.
Then we become aware that this motionlessness symbolizes our will to rest,
to take our time,
to give ourself time for ourself.
to slow down the pace that is so fast of the seconds that are passing without us
and to better listen.
Being motionless enables us to feel that we are stable
like a happy statue
that resists time and bad weather
and that lets a smile rise to its lips,
but seems indifferent to the external storms of life.
Through motionlessness
we can perceive better inner motion.
Immobility reveals the inner animation,
but keep the connection with the immobility.
Give it more importance than to this inner mobility without forgetting it it is delicious and it gives us the sense of being, the sense of existing.
Give slowness more importance,
the slowness that glides through matter,
and here there is no effort."

Chamblay Tuesday 22 August 2023: On continuity as a potential for the infinite
In this continuity, in this permanence, there is the opportunity to perceive by comparison with this continuous stillness, to perceive what is animated.
In other words, being motionless is like a gaze that enables you to perceive what is in motion inside you, and outside you.
Let this motion pass through your motionlessness, without it diluting this immobility.
Both keep their identities.
Immobility and motion intertwine as the river joining the ocean.
Both combine
And this results in the movement encountering resistance with the immobility.
It is a resistance in motion or a movement that encounters a resistance
And it is this resistance that creates the soul, the ‘sensible’, the taste of self, the taste of love, and that brings this love that is total to become yours

The feeling of bliss is only possible if there is gliding, even a gentle friction between motion and immobility, and that both keep their identity. They have to be in an embrace… that is what the soul is.
The soul is no more no less than universal love becoming yours…
Danis Bois

#72 - Our theme last Wednesday - Growing with impermanence - in which Danis Bois explored this notion from a philosophical perspective in line with the thought of Heraclitus - famous for his saying that 'No man ever steps in the same river twice', notion which Danis Bois expresses in this way : 'Everything is in perpetual motion', with a reminder that: 'What is important is not what we have been, but what we have become, and even more importantly what we will become".
