Hi, if you’re reading this you must be considering making some plans to get fitter and healthier and I hope this introductory note will be helpful. I have embarked on a new career in Health Coaching and to support you in your quest to experience better health and wellbeing. My early working background was in Childcare and Further Education and I feel the nurturing, coaching and management skills I developed through these roles equip me to support and guide you in your health journey. Change isn't an easy process I know, however, spending time exerting your body, clearing out the cobwebs and getting exhausted in a good way, promoting calm and well-being, are occupations worth spending some time on; You are worth spending some time on! I believe a little consistent effort will bring rewards that are life changing and I want to help you achieve this. Over the past 2 years of studying I have gained the following qualifications:

• A range of Nutrition and Mental Health short courses from Active IQ to include: Keto, Obesity Myths, Stress, Anxiety, Depression, MH Continuum

I have a small, private gym based in Amersham and offer 45/55 minute sessions bookable in 6 week slots of 1 or 2 sessions per week. After 6 weeks we will review your goals, adjust and move forward into the next 6 week cycle. Exercise class structure:
My approach is ‘Movement as Medicine’. A holistic range of activities that bring together a range of effective practices. Warm ups and Cool Downs are based on Chi Gung practice. This is the ancient Chinese approach to exercise as medicine. Moving in strategic ways to improve your breathing and energy flow, for your body to work most effectively, providing immediate and long lasting impact on stress levels, digestion and all over body function. The higher ‘work’ section is based on High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) Tabata style. You engage in 20 seconds of ‘intense’ work, followed by 10 seconds of rest. We do this for about 20 minutes, depending on your level of fitness and the intensity is also adjusted to your level of fitness. It’s fun and quick so you don’t notice the effort, too much, although feeling the effort is also empowering and you will recognise your body gaining strength and resilience. You soon get back into stretching and breathing Chi Gung style and feedback to date is that everyone feels energised but calm and ready to take on their day!
