Hospital stays can be particularly worrying for families — especially when the person admitted is also a carer themselves. Alongside concern for their own wellbeing and recovery, there’s often anxiety about a partner left at home and coping alone.
This is where having the right support in place can make a real difference.

Live-in care offers continuity, flexibility and peace of mind — ensuring someone trusted is there to support both partners, before and after a hospital stay, with minimal disruption to everyday life.💙

reminds us that awareness is important — but reassurance can make all the difference.

We often see how a cancer diagnosis affects the whole family. And one thing we know for certain is that having the right support in place — especially at home — can make a meaningful difference.

Our latest blog looks at how home care can be there for people living with cancer and their loved ones at every stage of the journey — providing comfort, dignity and continuity when they’re needed most.

The blog also shares a family’s experience of care at home, showing what compassionate, personalised support can make possible.
If this feels relevant for you, or someone you know, please take a moment to read — and share if it may help another family.💙

As we come to the end of the month, we’re proud of the commitment our teams continue to show to learning and excellence in care. 💙

Earlier this month, our Operations Team refreshed their Basic Life Support (BLS) training, keeping essential skills up to date.

Ongoing learning supports the wider Ashridge team — ensuring our office-based colleagues are informed, capable, and prepared to respond appropriately if a situation arises.

👏 Thank you to everyone involved.

A gentle reminder about tomorrow evening — and why it might be worth popping along. 😊

Wills, powers of attorney and future care aren’t everyday topics — and it’s completely normal to put them off until life slows down a little.

Tomorrow’s free evening is a relaxed chance to get practical clarity on safeguarding your assets, planning for potential care costs, and choosing trusted decision-makers through Wills, trusts, and Powers of Attorney — without pressure or jargon.

Whether it’s for you, a parent, a neighbour or someone you care about, it’s a simple way to feel more confident about what lies ahead. And if you know someone who’s been saying “we really should look into this” — bring them along.

We’d love to see you there. 💙

Following the success of last year’s event, we’re pleased to welcome back Lucy Goldsman, an experienced Estate Planning Consultant with Co-op Estate Planning, who offers professional, confidential advice.

Lucy will share clear, practical guidance on estate planning, including Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney — a real eye-opener for all ages and a valuable opportunity to understand how the right planning can protect your assets and your wishes.

You’ll also hear from our founder Trudi Scrivener, who will talk about care choices later in life and how tailored, professional care can support people to remain comfortably at home.

Expect friendly conversation, expert insight, and the chance to ask questions — all while enjoying drinks and nibbles in a relaxed setting. You’re very welcome to bring a friend, neighbour, or loved one who may benefit.😊
