Earlier this week, our Founder, Trudi, joined an update from the Alzheimer's Society about the new approach to delivering Dementia Friends Information Sessions — a brilliant initiative we’re honoured to be part of.
These sessions remind us how powerful it is when a community comes together with empathy and understanding. They help break down barriers, reduce stigma, and ensure that people living with dementia — and those who care for them — feel supported and included.
One participant summed it up beautifully: “I found the session informative and the way of presenting it empathetic and kind. I left feeling empowered in my position as daughter/carer and more positive about facing the future.”
At Ashridge, we’re proud to play a small part in building a community rooted in understanding, compassion, and support for those living with dementia and their families. 💙
👉 If you’d like to learn more about becoming a Dementia Friend, or join one of our Memory Cafés here in Buckinghamshire, please get in touch with our lovely Dementia Ambassadors — they’d love to hear from you.
☕ Our next Memory Café will be held next Friday (10am–12pm) at the Chilterns Neuro Centre — Everyone’s welcome to come along, meet others, and enjoy a warm, friendly chat. 😊
