This weeks available appointments with Jo and Pip.

Unfortunately this week there is very little room for adding any additional treatments in. But we will always try our best to accommodate where we can.

If you know you have an event coming up, drop us a message to get booked in early.

Just a note that Jo will be away on holiday from the 20th-28th. Pip will be in as much as possible to cover, but if you need to see Jo, please get in touch to arrange a suitable time before or after (she will be out of the country so contact will be minimal)

Some of you have had the pleasure of meeting our newest addition to the team,

Pip has been busy since passing her level 3 sports massage, gaining more hands on experience and spending some time learning all about dry cupping.

Pip is available for all things maintenance at the moment, so whether you’re a regular gym goer, feeling a little tense or just like a nice focussed sports massage, pip joins us with the same passion for solutions and high standards as we have always strived for!

I cannot believe we are coming into the last week or so of the summer holidays already! I hope everyone has been taking some time to rest and enjoy some family time.

Pip and I are back in the office as normal next week (bar the bank holiday) so normal appointment availability resumes!

The aroma of the month is citrus.

Citrus oils are derived from the citrus family (lemon, oranges, etc). The scent is often used in cleaning products, but the oils can also be used in skin care products. The invigorating and fresh scent is rejuvenating, a mood buster and great in summer for keeping the bugs away.

We think Keith would be a citrus kinda guy.

Have you ever wondered what the difference is between a Sports massage and a Swedish massage? Both are beneficial, but for different reasons.

💆‍♀️ Swedish Massage
Gentle techniques like effleurage and petrissage promote blood flow, melt away stress, and leave you feeling deeply relaxed and restored.

🏋️ Sports Massage
Perfect for anyone with tension, injuries, or areas needing focused work — not just athletes. It’s great for:
• Injury recovery
• Chronic or acute pain
• Biomechanical imbalances
• Better movement & faster recovery

Research shows regular sports massage can help you recover quicker, reduce niggles, and even prevent future injuries.

✨ Whether you want to relax or repair, there’s a massage for you. Which one’s calling your name?

Something we haven’t touched on for a while: Cupping.

We all recognise the iconic round cupping marks that look like you’ve had a fight with a kraken and walked away with great mobility, but did you know there is more to cupping than static placement?

Yesterday Jo spent some time with this gentleman for treatment that included movement and dragging of the cups. Dragging the cup along the tissue can help improve circulation of blood flow, release tension and release restrictions in the fascia, allowing the fibres to move more freely.

Next week will be in clinic completing her training for dry cupping to add to her skill set ready to offer in her sessions. I’m sure we will have plenty of videos to share!

It is time for the aroma of the month!

This month's aroma is Lemongrass. Lemongrass has a refreshing citrus scent, which was loved by the Ancient Greeks and Romans.

Lemongrass oil became an integral part of the global perfumery trade in the 17th century.

It is a delicious addition to meals, but it is also known to soothe aching muscles, improve circulation and relieve the symptoms associated with dandruff!

Lemongrass oil is an excellent addition to an Indian head massage
