🌟 A Fantastic Two Days at Our Hamberley Managers Conference! 🌟

This week, our Home Managers, Senior Leadership Team, Support Office colleagues and Recruitment team came together at the beautiful Sopwell House in St Albans for our annual 2-day Managers Conference and what an inspiring event it was!

From collaborative workshops and strategic discussions to meaningful time spent sharing best practice, it was a brilliant opportunity to connect, learn and celebrate everything that makes Hamberley exceptional.

This week we are showcasing some of the amazing creatures Petsman Geoff and his two sons, Bobby and Archie, recently brought in to show us. Today we have Barney and Beanie the Barn owls.🦉🦉
We were all so impressed at how calmly and confidently Bobby and Archie handled the owls and the residents absolutely loved meeting them.

🎉 Pudsey Brings Smiles to Our Homes & Hospitals! 💛🐻

Last week, Pudsey Bear brought smiles, laughter and a whole lot of magic to children, residents and staff and we couldn’t be prouder to share these moments with you✨

Our incredible teams at Templeton Place Care Home and Upton Manor Care Home arranged a very special visit from Pudsey to brighten the days of young patients and families at Southampton Children’s Hospital and University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity.

From high-fives and big cuddles to surprise treats (including Pudsey cupcakes made by the Templeton Place chef! 🧁💛), Pudsey spent time across the children’s wards - sparking huge smiles, happy tears and moments of pure joy.

One young patient told Pudsey he was her absolute favourite, while another lit up the moment he walked into the room. These reactions made the day unforgettable for our teams too. 💙

A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at both hospitals for the warm welcome, and to our amazing Hamberley teams for spreading kindness and supporting Children in Need 2025 in such a meaningful way.

💙 World Kindness Day | Knitting with Heart at Elstow Manor 💙

In celebration of World Kindness Day, we’re shining a light on the wonderful residents at Elstow Manor Care Home, who have been spreading warmth and compassion through their beautiful bereavement hearts project 🧶💗

Often exchanged in pairs, one heart is placed with the person who has passed away, while the other is kept by their loved one - a touching symbol of connection, comfort, and remembrance💞

This heartfelt initiative reminds us that even the smallest acts of kindness can bring comfort and hope to others.

Abbots Wood Manor Care Home lit up the night with fireworks, homemade sausage rolls, and mulled wine✨

Charrington Manor Care Home enjoyed a cosy indoor Guy Fawkes celebration with safe sparklers and shared memories 🔥

Chawley Grove Care Home hosted its very own spectacular fireworks display, filling the evening with colour and joy🎆

Lovell Place Care Home made a whole day of it - bonfire treats, a themed quiz, and a delicious supper of hot dogs, burgers, and toasted marshmallows🌭🍔✨

Templeton Place Care Home kicked off the festive season with Christmas shopping trips and dazzling decorations🎄☕

Newton House Care Home held a low-noise firework display in the café garden lighting up the night ❤️

🎶 Richmond Manor Care Home residents enjoyed a heart-warming vintage sing-along, filling the home with classic tunes, laughter, and plenty of smiles🎤💛
