✨Social Prescribing x Valley Leisure ✨

Over the past couple of years, Andover PCN has been working closely with Valley Leisure to support our community's health and wellbeing.

This partnership is a great example of how a Social Prescriber can connect you to the right support for you. Whether you're feeling low, experiencing anxiety, or simply looking to improve your physical health, our Social Prescribing Team can help you access suitable activities.

🧘‍♀️We're excited to share that Valley Leisure, in partnership with Naomi from Doda Yoga and Andover Mind, will be running another 12-week Yoga for Wellbeing programme starting this April!

Participants from previous programmes have reported:

⭐ Increased physical activity and motivation
⭐ Greater confidence using movement to support mental health
⭐ Fewer healthcare visits
⭐ Improved happiness, life satisfaction & sense of purpose
⭐ Reduced anxiety levels
⭐ Better mental wellbeing, physical health & social connection

🍃Happy Social Prescribing Day! 🍃

Today, we celebrate the people, organisations and community groups who make Social Prescribing possible.

Without the power of people who support individuals and communities every day to improve wellbeing and enjoy life, many of the connections and opportunities we value would not exist. Their dedication helps people feel supported, connected and empowered.

In Andover, we are fortunate to have so many organisations and community groups working hard to bring fun, meaningful and fulfilling activities to our town. From creating opportunities to connect with nature to building strong social connections, their impact is felt across the whole community.

A huge thank you to everyone who supports wellbeing in our community - your work truly makes a difference 💚
