Gold and coloured gemstone Remodel completed last week.

Something I rarely do which is melt down customers old gold and rework into a commission / Remodel, using their existing clear and coloured gemstones, crafted into a simple but effective design.

Personally, unless the material has been refined of all it's impurities, I find it has a tendency to shear and crack under stress and manipulation from it's raw state as an ingot.
However, if you don't stress the material too much, keep the design simple, plenty of annealing, and with a bit of luck, you can create something resembling a piece of wearable jewellery.

Memorial Ashes Heart shaped pendants are our recent commissions, with pink resin moulded into a 6mm bezel setting.

These are a combination of our sterling silver, textured Horizon Nebula pendant, but shaped in a heart, and resin ashes which replaces a coloured gemstone.

These will be available in 3 sizes, large, medium and small, in a variety of resin colours, and available to purchase from our Memorial Ashes Jewellery collection on our website in due course.

Our Memorial Ashes Jewellery is gaining consistent interest, specifically in the technique of blending the ashes within the coloured resin, integrating loved ones with the jewellery piece.

This gives a pearlesent, satin sheen to the resin, which is complemented by the highly polished precious metal.

Our recent commission was an 8mm wide Sterling Silver Memorial Ashes Mens Ring, with Royal Blue resin, blended with his father's ashes.

Happy customer this morning collecting her half eternity style diamond and gold ring. 🎉

We re-modelled 12 old cut round white diamonds, roughly 1.85mm diameter each, and a couple of 1.4mm diamonds into a bead set half eternity design, using a 9ct yellow gold, 4mm wide flat profile hallmarked band ring, creating back hole/ thru holes on each gemstone.

Old diamonds re-modelled into the 21st century, with a smooth high polish finish 💎💍
