💚 Love Your Liver 💚

Did you know your liver performs over 500 vital jobs to keep you alive? That’s why it deserves some love. While the liver can repair itself, it can only do so up to a point — and sadly, liver disease often has no symptoms until it’s advanced and harder to treat.
You can help protect your liver by making small, positive changes:

✔️ Eat a balanced diet
✔️ Drink plenty of water
✔️ Cut down on alcohol
✔️ Take medicines at the correct dose
✔️ Practise good hygiene to reduce the risk of hepatitis

If you have an appointment please try and stick as close to the given time as you can to help the flow of traffic.

With Measles cases rising in England. It is important that you make sure you and your child are up to date.

Measles spreads easily and can cause serious illness, especially in babies, pregnant women and those with weak immune systems.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION for women using weight loss or diabetes medicines such as Ozempic, Mounjaro, or Wegovy

The MHRA has updated its guidance on "skinny jabs". Here's what you need to know:

🚫 These medicines must not be used during pregnancy, when trying to conceive, or while breastfeeding.
💊 If you're taking Mounjaro and are overweight, oral contraceptives may be less effective. You should also use another form of contraception, like the implant, coil, or condoms.
🛑 Never buy these medicines from social media, beauty salons, or any other unregulated sources.
📢 Report any side effects or fake products via the MHRA’s Yellow Card scheme.

Dr Alison Cave, the Chief Safety Officer said:

“Skinny jabs are medicines licensed to treat specific medical conditions and should not be used as aesthetic or cosmetic treatments. They are not a quick fix to lose weight and have not been assessed to be safe when used in this way.”

“Our guidance offers patients a “one stop shop” for our up-to-date advice on how to use these powerful medicines safely.”
