We are getting a high volumes of calls into the Practice relating to meningitis vaccines. We understand the anxiety related to this given the sad news about the outbreak in Kent.

If you are concerned about your vaccination status please first check your NHS app which contains this information. If you are still unsure then please send us an eConsult and we will check your record for you.

All patients who are overdue a meningitis B vaccine have been proactively contacted.

A patient helpline, run by UKHSA, is now also available. Patients can phone 0344 225 3861, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, if they have no symptoms but are concerned they have been in contact with a confirmed case or have a general enquiry 💜

Our GP Reception team do such an important job. From phone calls to prescription management, arranging appointments, emails, eConsults, sorting out samples, dealing with letters, paperwork and everything in between!

This short video sums up the challenging situations they frequently encounter whilst trying their hardest to help navigate people to the right part of the system to get the help they need.

We are constantly trying to improve all our services including our call waiting times and for those who want to try it out, we are currently also temporarily trialling an AI Receptionist to support with this.

Dr Bev Scowen will be retiring at the end of March after many happy and dedicated years of service to the practice.

Dr Scowen leaves a strong legacy built on professionalism, kindness and an unwavering dedication to patient care.

While we will greatly miss her, we are extremely grateful for her years of service and for the lasting impact she has had on both our team and the wider community 💜

• 17,836 same day appointments with our duty team for those urgent medical issues that need prompt attention

• 22,678 routine GP appointments, prioritising continuity of care and knowing your own doctor for ongoing health problems

• 9,703 appointments with our Practice Nursing team helping to monitor long term health conditions, prevent future disease and keep us well with vaccinations, travel advice, smear tests and wound care
