We're delighted to be welcoming Manj Gohel as a speaker at the BAS 2026 Annual Conference this May.
Manj Gohel is a consultant vascular surgeon with a national reputation in venous disease.
He holds an Affiliated Assistant Professor (Associate Lecturer) appointment at the University of Cambridge and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London.
Manj will be discussing the EVRA trial and its relationship to foam sclerotherapy.

Zola Mzimba, BAS board member, shares the presentation he gave to the Venous Forum: ‘How to find the right vein to inject: devices to consider’.
Zola gives us an overview of what is available, including costs and his personal recommendations.
Zola is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon, specialising in veins and has a keen interest in technology and how it can improve his practice.

We are pleased to announce our two latest board members; Emma Kelliher and Richard Oliver.
Following a period of growth in memberships and affiliations, we decided it was the perfect time to expand our board.
Especially with our first 2 day Conference coming up in May.
We welcome Emma and Richard who bring a wealth of expertise which will help to strengthen our board and extend the knowledge and resources available to our members.
Emma is the founder of EK Clinics ®️ and an aesthetic nurse prescriber with over 20 years’ experience in medical aesthetics.
She is a respected industry educator, teaches medical aesthetics, including microsclerotherapy, and is regarded for her commitment to clinical excellence, governance and ongoing professional development.
Richard began working as the Head of Technical and Clinical for STD Pharmaceuticals in 2015. Prior to this he was a consultant and senior lecturer in oral and maxillofacial surgery at The University of Manchester.
He has served on national committees including the surgical royal colleges, NICE, BNF and journal editorial boards. He has published over 75 peer reviewed papers in scientific journals including sclerotherapy.
We are grateful to have both of them join us as we continue to grow into 2026!

2026 Conference Early Bird Extended to 30 April.
Following an influx of new memberships, the BAS board decided to extended the early bird discount to our annual conference to ensure all new members are able to attend.
The new wave of aesthetic doctors and nurses joining the BAS will be well supported by the Conference which will for the first time have a day focused around small veins and aesthetic treatments.
