Purple Oak Support Purple Oak Support is an independent charity supporting those with learning disabilities since 1964. We are Purple Oak Support.

We actively advocate for people dealing with a range disabilities, for their families and carers and we've been doing this now for over 50 years. We offer a range of support for adults that improve employability and increase everyday skills for more self-reliant lifestyle. We provide a range of services for children and young adults, that encourages independence, supports their education and enables better social integration. We organise many clubs and activities across all age groups so that everyone can get a chance to participate, meet new friends and improve their skills. We pride ourselves on providing the best possible training solutions for our own staff, local organisations, as well as for carers and families. We want, to create a lasting change in our community, to stand for those who need our help the most and to make the world a better place.

Today it's the turn of some of our younger adults! Our Day Services group, or PODS as they like to be called, have had a fun filled couple of weeks. They've been on buses and trains, they've been in nightclubs, parks, arcades and visiting animals. They've tried new foods, they've eaten pancakes, they've chilled out in our sensory room and they've even tidied up after making any mess!
