It's FRESH BREATHE DAY!

Did you know dental disease, specifically periodontal disease, is a primary cause of bad breath in pets? This bacterial activity releases volatile sulphur compounds, causing the unpleasant odour.

There are a number of reasons this can happen:
🐾 Poor oral hygiene
🐾 Diet
🐾 Breed predisposition
🐾 Age

And just like in humans, nothing is a substitute for brushing in looking after those pearly whites 😁 Prevent bad breathe in your pets by following this simple guide to brushing and keep on top of that pesky plaque.

Do you have an emergency pet care plan?

It’s not something we like to think about, becoming ill or worse still being rushed to hospital. However, what would happen to our beloved pets should you have to leave them in an emergency. The RSPCA have created a form to make this worry a little less daunting.

The form comes in 2 parts, one half you can display in your window making people aware there are pets inside. The other half is a form which outlines your pets needs (medication etc). It also has the contact details of your nominated person who has offered to help out should the need arise. You could even have more than one person, a friend, neighbour or relation or all 3!

No printer? No problem! simply come in and pick one up from our lovely reception team here at Strathmore 🙂

The Wiltshire Wildlife Hospital is a registered charity that rescues injured, orphaned and sick wildlife in and around the county of Wiltshire and is our go to for any wildlife we take in here at the practice 🦊🦡🐦‍⬛🦦🦔🐿.
It is run by a dedicated team of volunteers, who rely totally on donations to be able to treat thousands of wild animals every year and one way you can help support this great cause is by attending their summer fayre 🌻🌞! Lots of fun to be had for the whole family so pop on down if you can 😀
