I’m frequently chatting with people locally that you meet here and there and then so many times I get the question ‘You are Bunny aren’t you?’. I never know if this is good or bad I’m well known 😊 But conversations usually come round to my work as generally that is how and why people know me or have heard of me.
I’ve been teaching Pilates and Reformer for many years and another topic that often comes up is that they have tried Pilates or Reformer and didn’t feel it was right for them. This has two emotions for me as Pilates is for EVERYONE no matter of your injuries or levels. Reformer and mat is for everyone no matter of your injuries or levels. Age is irrelevant. What IS important is the research you do when looking. The qualifications the teacher has. Your level, injuries and level is unique to YOU. Your class should be matched to YOU. You will work HARD with me but I’ll always know how hard is right.
All my clients are required to take a 121 before even getting on a Reformer. Sometimes we go down a slightly different route first.
You will progress slowly to begin with while you learn to be safe, while we both learn your strengths and weaknesses. We all have areas to work on, and areas that will be more dominant. Once you are more balanced then we work… I’ll push you when I know you are ready.
Remember we learn to walk before we run. We don’t Deadlift weight in the gym until we know how. Then we move, we build, we progress and avoid injuries as we get stronger.
My job has many goals, the main one is to keep you moving and injury free for life long health.
Please research, know that you only have one body. Look after it.
Most of my clients will transition from rehabilitation to a class and rarely leave, which I love.
Take a look at my qualifications on my website. I’m proud of how hard I’ve worked to achieve where I’m at and how I’ve had clients for many many years who still progress and work to their own potential every week. It never gets easier, I just push you more.
