Knowing Us was originally created by a group of mums who attended the Knowing Me, Knowing You course run by the Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust Health Visiting Team. It is being run by mums Nadine Ross and Stephani Ashby, both of whom are DBS checked and trained in safeguarding awareness. We feel that there is not enough support for mums suffering from postnatal depression and wanted to not o
nly continue to support each other, but also reach out to help others. This is a new experience for all of us and we are committed to turning our own experiences into a positive one and provide a safe, non-judgemental, inclusive environment for all. If you would like someone to talk to, would like further information on local support available or have a general question, please send us a message and we'll do our best to get back to you ASAP. This group is open to mums of any age and background whether you have 1 child or 10! Sometimes just being told that you are doing a great job and that you are a great mum can be the hardest thing to believe. We hope to create a community where everyone has a voice and where we are all encouraged no matter our struggles. We are all in motherhood together, we are not alone and we are here to support you whatever stage you are at on your journey of recovery. This group is ever-changing and we would appreciate any suggestions on any further support we can offer or ideas about how we can improve this group. We meet every every Tuesday from 9:30am to 12pm at Rainbow Corner, 2 Blendon Drive, Andover Hants SP10 3NQ. Mental illness is NOTHING to be ashamed of.
