Early yesterday evening Andover town turned on the Christmas lights .🎄

This marks the countdown to Christmas in Andover so we turn out thoughts to getting our Christmas decorations up in our home.

We would love to create a magical sparkly Christmas experience for our residents to do that we need your help please.

We need donations of inside and outside lights , hollywreaths , mistletoe, Christmas stockings, table decorations , anything that sparkles and shines please.

If you can help with donations please do drop off at our home( this week please)

We are also looking for volunteers to come help us put the decorations up . If you can help please drop Sarah ( our activities coordinator) a message or email.

Some staff and residents stretched to a little dance along as well.

Staff and residents enjoyed a visit from the Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service firefighter’s today.

We have chosen to support the firefighters charity as our charity of the year.

We enjoyed some armchair exercises with Matthew this afternoon in the Lodges lounge, which was then followed by some birthday cake to celebrate Debs ( our homes manager’s birthday) 🎂

We hope Matthew willl become a regular visitor to our home.

We have had a week of staff training.

Manual handling training teaches how to move and handle objects and people safely to reduce the risk of injury.

This keeps everyone safe in our home.
