Flu Vaccinations

**PRIVATE VACCINATIONS NOW IN STOCK**

Avoid the flu this winter! We are able to offer appointments for both NHS flu vaccinations and private flu vaccinations for the winter season 2025/2026.

We are still awaiting stock to arrive for private flu vaccinations so are unable to take bookings at the current time.. It should be early October when we have availablity but we will update on here as soon as we can.

On Friday Morning (8th August) approximately between 8am and 11am we will be without power (due to a meter change over) for a short period of time.

This will affect our phone lines and computer systems, as well as possible entry into the premises.

**Ear Wax Removal Service by Microsuction**

Appointments available as early as this week.
The cost will be £50 for one ear and £60 for two ears.

If you are not sure if you have ear wax, please pop into the pharmacy and we will check your ears for you. We will not charge for an inspection.

Appointments can be made by phone on 01333 310354.

Please get in touch before making the appointment if:
• You have a pain in or around the ear(s)
• You have suffered with ear infection within the last 6 weeks
• If you have had a perforated eardrum at any time in the past
• If you suffer from tinnitus or dizziness
• If you take any anti-coagulant medication

Unless you have a perforated ear drum, we would recommend using olive oil drops or earol spray first. In most cases, this causes lumps of ear wax to fall out of the ear canal. If this doesn’t happen, microsuction may then be a suitable option.

It can take more than one appointment to remove the wax, although return visits are included! Prior to any appointment, olive oil ear drops or earol spray should be used at least 5 days beforehand. This makes microsuction as comfortable and effective as possible.

If you use hearing aids, please take advice before using olive oil as this can damage the hearing aid and there may be a better option to soften the wax.

Our pharmacist can provide convenient and personalised help without a trip to your GP or a doctor’s prescription. We have comprehensive weight management services accessible, including, if appropriate, prescription-only treatments; some of which are not readily available on the NHS.

We have access to the following treatments:
- Mounjaro (tirepatide) solution for injection in pre-filled pen
- Wegovy (semaglutide) solution for injection in pre-filled pen
- Saxenda (liraglutide) solution for injection in pre-filled pen
- Mysimba tablets
