Fresh Minds Education We believe that no child or young person should experience bereavement or emotional distress alone. Thank You.

We could not do what we do without your help and support through donations and volunteering.

Antrim Enterprise did a little spotlight. The events I faced through the loss of my baby daughter 17 years ago has inspired a lot of change, a lot of creativity and alot of support for others. In memory of Amber and our baby Blossoms the whole Wallace family continue to ripple Glimmers of Hope far and wide, from right here in the HeartSpace in Antrim. 🧡🌈✨

A reliable view

This has been a reliable view for a year. Through the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland in Dublin and the Irish Hospice Foundation I've been studying Bereavement and Loss for almost a year now.

Nothing has quite stretched my time, my mind, my belief systems, my home life, my work life and my finances like this 😅. But I have been learning and I have been translating everything into making our charity here better.

It will take time to bring it all together and I'm sure you sense and see some changes already. We are working very intentionally now and we hope to continue to make life better for those who are experiencing bereavment or emotional distress.

🧡Cousins Creating Change.🧡
💖Mammies Making Meaning.💖
🛟Survive then Thrive.🌱

We came across this defibrillator on a road trip and noticed the sticker. Bamber and Zebra were with us, Bamber for my Amber born sleeping on Easter Sunday 🧡🌈🌟 and Zebra for our Maggie who died from Addisons Disease aged 5 🧡🌈🦓, two cousins no longer here, yet still quietly campaigning for a better world.

One life-saving - Maggie’s Call means rural families aren’t left alone in an emergency. CPR in rural communities when minutes matter most.

One life-supporting - Amber inspiring bereavement care for children and young people, and the adults who hold them.

Two compassionate pieces of the public health jigsaw, giving people the best possible chance to survive, then thrive.

The years go on.
Two brave girls.
Still making change.
Two mammies making sense of it all.

If this touches your heart, keep the conversation going.

🧡🌈🦓🌟

Wishing you a peaceful and hope-filled Easter from all of us at Fresh Minds Education 💛

This week, we had the privilege of receiving a cheque for £8,500 from Antrim & Newtownabbey Crematorium. 💛

We also had the opportunity to spend time with the crematorium staff (and even a few of their feathery friends 🦆), alongside local funeral directors, gaining a deeper understanding of how the facility supports families through the grieving process.

Everything we do is made possible through the generosity of our funders and supporters. We’re especially thankful to the Mayor, Councillor Leah Kirkpatrick, for presenting this donation and for nominating Fresh Minds Education.

Because of this support, we can continue walking alongside children, young people, and families experiencing the emotional impact of bereavement and loss.

We would love to connect with other funeral providers. If you - or someone you know - would be interested in partnering with us, please contact our Funeral Services Child Bereavement Lead, Linda:

Today is Autism Awareness Day 💙

Hear from Catie, a placement student from , as she shares her experience with Fresh Minds Education. She’s been working alongside Riley on a research project exploring grief in neurodiverse individuals and families.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed through interviews, focus groups, and surveys—your voices matter and are shaping meaningful change.

And thank you, Catie, for your incredible work. This will make a real difference for so many neurodiverse young people.

Tiny house, big hearts 🤍

Today we welcomed some new faces to Fresh Minds, sharing coffee and treats from Tiny House Coffee as we celebrated them joining the team, while also saying goodbye to our amazing placement student, Catie.

We love our compassionate community at Fresh Minds - but today, we were the ones being cared for.

A huge thank you to Tiny House for your kindness - it meant more than you know ☕✨ We were so generously gifted everything on the house, and it made the moment even more special.

If you haven’t already, we’d really recommend giving them a visit and supporting their brilliant local business - you won’t be disappointed 🤍
