Antrim Adult Centre/RHouse Keeping parents, carers, and friends up to date with information and show what we have been up to 😊

Antrim Adult Centre is an adult centre for adults with a learning disability, and it consists of 7 groups. Day care is provided for people aged nineteen plus who have been assessed as having a learning disability. Many of the service users also have an associated physical or sensory disability or complex needs. There are a number of service users with complex health or behavioural needs, including individuals with mental health needs, dementia and autistic spectrum disorder. Some of the members require one to one staff attention, supervision and assistance. Service users are encouraged to develop their social, educational, vocational, recreational and work related skills and strong emphasis is placed on community as well as centre based activities.

Service update re:
Covid closure

Firstly can I thank all service users and families for your patience and understanding over these past couple of days during the closure of the centre.

The team here know how difficult and frustrating this must be and it’s something we never like to do.

Unfortunately we had no other option as the number of positive covid cases was beyond the threshold for us to safely provide a service.

We are still running with extremely high levels of staff absence, but we are hoping to run a limited service from towards onwards. This will definitely impact on services in the coming days and possibly into next week.

Staff will contact families to give updates. If you have any issues please contact the unit.

This will not effect R House service. Buses will run from tomorrow onwards.

And once again thank you for your patience and understanding.
