Antrim Adult Centre/RHouse Keeping parents, carers, and friends up to date with information and show what we have been up to ๐Ÿ˜Š

Antrim Adult Centre is an adult centre for adults with a learning disability, and it consists of 7 groups. Day care is provided for people aged nineteen plus who have been assessed as having a learning disability. Many of the service users also have an associated physical or sensory disability or complex needs. There are a number of service users with complex health or behavioural needs, including individuals with mental health needs, dementia and autistic spectrum disorder. Some of the members require one to one staff attention, supervision and assistance. Service users are encouraged to develop their social, educational, vocational, recreational and work related skills and strong emphasis is placed on community as well as centre based activities.

We have just been advised by transport, buses will not be going out this morning. Staff are currently making contact with those affected. We appreciated your understanding while we aim to keep everyone safe.

Weather Warning โ€ผ๏ธ
Thank you all for your patience and understanding today with this challenging weather. Tomorrow will most likely prove to be another difficult day for transport with another weather warning now in place.
Transport and centre staff willl assess the situation first thing in the morning and we will update you as soon as we can.
Our priority has to always be the safety of our members and our staff team.

Heavy snow continues to fall and is laying heavy in many areas, weather forecast states freezing temperatures overnight. Transport staff will assess the roads and make a decision in the morning.
Overall safety for our service users and staff is paramount and we will keep everyone updated if transport will be affected tomorrow.

As the snow has fallen and continues to fall.
Transport will assess the roads and make a decision in the morning on whether it is safe for the buses to go out.
