🌅 Faith 🌅

Rabindranath Tagore once wrote:
✨ “Faith is the bird that sings while the dawn is still dark.” ✨

Such a simple yet profound reminder — faith isn’t about certainty or proof. It’s that quiet strength that whispers hope when everything around you feels silent or unclear.

Before the first light breaks, before life reveals its answers, faith is the song of the soul — trusting in the unseen, believing in the coming dawn.

🌿 Hold your faith gently. It doesn’t need to be loud — just alive.

✨ The Journey Without Distance ✨

I was going through my old notes from the Vedanta Academy — January 2013.
Sanandaji Leelaram, Swamiji’s daughter, was teaching from Chapter 2 of the Bhagavad Gita when she said:

🕊️ “The spiritual quest is a journey without distance — from where you are, to where you’ve always been.”

The path of self-discovery and finding inner peace isn’t about becoming something new — it’s about remembering who you already are. Your essential being.

🌿 When we quiet the mind, the truth isn’t found — it’s simply revealed.

🕉️ Yoga Citta Vrtti Nirodhah

Patanjali defines yoga as the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind.

Citta is the mind — the field of thoughts, emotions, and memories.

Vrtti are its movements or waves — the constant chatter that disturbs inner peace.

Nirodhah means restraint or quieting.

When these mental ripples settle, awareness becomes clear and steady.

In that stillness, we experience yoga — the union of body, mind, and spirit.

True yoga begins not in the posture, but in the pause between thoughts.

✨ SATSANGA ✨
“Life is composed of three broad transactions:

1️⃣ Receipt of input from the world
2️⃣ Reaction within
3️⃣ Response into the world

The first of these is Satsaṅga — the company of the good. 🌼
It’s more than being around good people or a teacher; it’s about what you allow into your senses and mind.

Every sight 👁️, sound 👂, taste 👅, touch ✋, and thought 💭 is an input that shapes your inner world.
These can be noble or ignoble, virtuous or vicious.

🕊️ The first step on the spiritual path is to:
• Let your senses receive good stimuli
• Let your mind hold noble emotions
• Let your intellect nurture virtuous thoughts

All of this, together, is Satsaṅga — good company, within and without. 🌸 Drawn from the wisdom of Bhaja Govindam
