Updated on my website. As a dedicated menopause specialist nurse, I’m passionate about helping women feel heard, supported, and empowered during one of the most significant transitions of their lives.

Menopause isn’t “just hot flushes.” It can affect your sleep, mood, memory, confidence, relationships, career, and overall wellbeing. Too often, women are told to “just get on with it” — but you deserve better than that.

When you book in with me, you’ll get:

✨ Time to talk openly about your symptoms
✨ Evidence-based, up-to-date menopause care
✨ Clear guidance on HRT and non-hormonal options
✨ Support with perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause
✨ A personalised plan tailored to you
✨ A safe, understanding, judgement-free space

I combine clinical expertise with genuine compassion. I listen carefully, explain your options clearly, and work with you to find the approach that fits your body, lifestyle, and goals.

If you’re feeling exhausted, anxious, overwhelmed, or simply “not yourself,” please know you’re not alone — and you don’t have to navigate this stage without support.

Your wellbeing matters. Your symptoms are real. And with the right help, you can feel like yourself again.

So many women get overlooked because of their age. HRT isn’t for everyone but for many women it can be beneficial

“When people ask, ‘How do you look so young? How are you still working?’ Well, that’s the secret.”

Prue Leith has opened up about her long-term use of hormone replacement therapy (HRT), saying it helps her feel “better and younger” – as well as supporting intimacy later in life.

Originally prescribed HRT after a hysterectomy at 40, Prue now uses oestrogen patches, progesterone pills and small amounts of testosterone gel.

“It’s good for libido,” she said, adding she doesn’t believe she’d be “active in every sense” without it.

As a Menopause Specialist Nurse and Independent Prescriber, I support women in understanding their bodies, their hormones, and their options — so they can feel confident and in control again.

🌸 Emotional Health Awareness Day – 24th February 🌸

Today is a reminder that emotional health is just as important as physical health. Our feelings, stress levels, resilience, and mental wellbeing shape how we experience every stage of life — including menopause.

Menopause isn’t just about hot flushes and sleep changes. It can also bring emotional shifts like anxiety, low mood, irritability, brain fog, or a loss of confidence. These changes are real, they are common, and most importantly — they are valid.

Hormonal fluctuations during perimenopause and menopause can significantly impact how we feel day to day. Yet many women suffer in silence, unsure whether what they’re experiencing is “normal” or something they should just push through.

On this Emotional Health Awareness Day, let’s:
💛 Open conversations about menopause and mental wellbeing
💛 Remove stigma around mood changes and HRT
💛 Encourage women to seek support without guilt
💛 Remind each other that asking for help is strength

Support might look like speaking to a menopause specialist nurse, exploring therapy, reviewing lifestyle habits, considering HRT, or simply talking honestly with friends and family.

If you or someone you know is navigating menopause, please remember: you are not alone, you are not failing, and you deserve support.

Let’s prioritise emotional health at every age — especially during life transitions that can challenge it most.

✨ What happens at an appointment with a menopause specialist nurse?

In a private menopause consultation, you’re given the time and space to really talk — about all your symptoms, your health history, your lifestyle, and how menopause is affecting your everyday life.

We’ll usually cover:
🌿 Full symptom review (physical + emotional)
🌿 Medical history and current medications
🌿 Sleep, stress, nutrition, and movement
🌿 HRT and non-hormonal options
🌿 A personalised care plan just for you
🌿 Plenty of time for questions — no rushing

Unlike many NHS appointments, which are often short and focused on one issue, private consultations allow for longer, in-depth conversations and ongoing follow-up. That means we can look at the whole picture, not just one symptom.

💛 Why does this help so many women?
Because menopause isn’t one-size-fits-all. Having dedicated time, continuity of care, and tailored support helps women feel heard, confident, and supported — instead of struggling alone.

You don’t have to “just put up with it.” Support is available ✨
