Suddenly but peacefully on Wednesday 1st October at his home in Gamblesby, Andrew, beloved eldest son of Geoff and the late Pat, a sadly missed Brother, Brother in law, Uncle and a good friend to many. Aged 55 Years. A Funeral service and Cremation will take place at Eden Valley Crematorium on Tuesday 21st October at 12.30pm. Peacefully at home in the presence of his loving family on Saturday 30th August, Edward (Ted), Dearly loved husband of Kathleen, loving Dad of Stephen, Colin and Marj, father- in-law to Alison, Kathryn and George, devoted Grandad and Great Grandad. Aged 89 Years. A funeral service will be held at All Saint's Church, Orton on Thursday 18th September at 11am. Catherine (Cate). We are heartbroken to announce that Cate passed away at The Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle on Wednesday 6th August. Aged 64 Years. She will be missed beyond measure by her Husband Peter, Daughters Hannah, Megan and the late Dawn. Much loved Nannie, Mother-in-law, Daughter, Sister, Sister-in-law, Auntie and good friend to many. Funeral service to be held at Eden Valley Crematorium on Friday 22nd August at 12.30pm. Cate would have loved you all to be dressed in checked shirts, best auction/show attire. Liam passed away sadly in Penrith on Friday 27th June. Aged 25 Years. A much loved son to Shirley, sadly missed Grandson to Brenda and the late Jack, Adored Daddy to Elsie and Brother to Sadie, Ben, Rob, Megan and the late Leroy , Uncle, and a great friend to many, especially Squeeks. Also his two doggies Bella and Rosie . Liam's funeral will take place at Eden Valley Crematorium on Monday 21st July at 11am.

Peacefully on Wednesday 11th June, at home surrounded by her family, Helen of Appleby, Formerly of Mount Pleasant, Loving Mam of Lauren and her partner Kyle, Cherished Nana to Florence, Sadly missed Daughter of Robert (Bob) and the late Joan, A much loved Sister, Auntie. Aged 56 Years. A Funeral Service will take place at St Lawrence's Church, Appleby on Tuesday 1st July at 12.30pm, Followed by a private family Interment, At Helen's request, please feel free to wear something pink. Peacefully on Tuesday 14th January at his home in Carlisle, surrounded by his family , William (Willie), formerly of Murton, Appleby. Dearly loved Dad of Barbara, Marima and the late Joseph (Joss). Cherished Granda and Great Granda, Father in law, Brother, Brother in law, Uncle, and a good friend to many. Aged 74 Years. A funeral service will be held at St John the Baptist Church, Hilton Cum Murton on Friday 31st January at 12 Noon, followed by interment in Murton Cemetery. John Stanley died peacefully in hospital on Monday 18th November with several of his family members there with him. A funeral service and cremation will take place at Eden Valley Crematorium on Tuesday 3rd December at 11am followed by a funeral tea at Appleby Manor Hotel. IT WAS JOHN'S WISH THAT ANYONE COMING TO THE SERVICE WEARS BRIGHT COLOURS - DEFINITELY NOT BLACK, and instead of flowers, if desired, make a donation to Cancer Research UK.
