This week is which is an annual celebration of the power of sharing stories. To link in with this, our SLT Leanne has been preparing story based resources for use in sessions with different clients.
Each session will access stories in different and versatile ways, with the aim of developing a variety of communication skills including:
▪ Vocabulary
▪ Turn-taking
▪ Requesting 'more' or 'finish'
▪ Accessing a switch to request 'more'
Alongside the sounds and rhythm used in the story telling, additional materials will be used to help to make the story come to life for example: using sensory objects to touch and feel, or symbols to match.
