Miranda is a newly qualified Speech and Language Therapist and joined our team last year.

Being a speech and language therapist requires lots of specialist knowledge, but lots of creative thinking too! This game board resource has recently been produced to help engage a paediatric client with their speech therapy activities in a fun way.

Each game stage incorporates exercises from the SMILE programme (SysteMatic Intervention for Lingual Elevation) by TalkTools™ which helps to develop
speech and swallowing skills.

Last Thursday was our annual team day with the morning spent in a woodland, 'breaking out of prison', and using strategic thinking to rescue Wilson 🏀. Thanks to Field Sport UK for a brilliant two-team activity (and yes, we did manage to escape!).

The afternoon saw us return to base for an afternoon SLTea party to celebrate 80 years of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. The tea flowed, the sandwiches were munched, and not much cake remained 😆

It was a great day, and great to all be together.
