EVERYTHING MOBILITY SCOOTERS
BATTERY ADVICE!!!
On Thursday I was asked to go and look at a mobility scooter in Dundee which was not powering up. The owner had fitted new batteries only a couple of months ago and suspected maybe a loose wire.
On examining the scooter, the batteries were found to be completely dead and clearly defective. Now this was two brand new batteries he fitted recently. They were also large batteries and not cheap.
I gave the customer and his family advice on returning the batteries for a refund as they were clearly defective.
They did however ask if I could supply and fit two brand new batteries for them to get the scooter back on the road.
The very next day I fitted two quality batteries (Lucas) and the owner was back mobile.
I also gave the scooter the once over (free of charge) just to make sure it was safe. All tires were at 5psi when they should be mid 30s.
This customer is now a happy chappy and is able to get out for his daily Costa Coffee knowing all is good with the scooter.
I hate to think what the bigger companies would have charged for this (more than double for sure)
