.mxlissa - I know you hear this from me all the time... but just know you are a f**king bad ass!!

It has been such a pleasure to be a part of this journey and I am sorry I keep slowing you down!

Future Mel is going to understand it all! 😁❤️

Fat loss will take time but when you get to where you want to be you would spend double the time again to feel how good this is going to feel!

Honestly, it won't ever taste as good...

And cutting that stuff out of your life is not a sign of self discipline or effort...

There are only four foods you shouldn't eat...
1)foods you don't like
2)foods you cannot afford
3)foods that are soiled or off
4)foods you are allergic to

And, I know this is a bold statement now a days but you should aim to eat the majority of your foods from whole foods ... but not all of them!

No one gets fat after 1 meal or day...

No single food ruins progress... unless you do becoming and uncontrollable snack eating monster with no amount that will ever fill us or satisfy us... (we all have one food!)

It is fine to think that healthy food doesn't taste as good as a lot of the mega tasty stuff we have access too...

But with time your taste buds and your body will enjoy the healthy stuff...

Eating healthily makes you feel a way throughout the day...

Eating the mega tastys is going to allow you to feel a way there and then...

Have both but realise you can...

Let's go team!

Breakfast Club.

What is it?

Community.
Learning.
Socialising.
Dancing.
Training.
Laughing.

It is a chance to train with people like yourself.

A chance to train with people that either have heaps of experience or like you just want a friendly face to welcome them in and help when needed.

It is an independent training session that I sit in on...

No pressure. No rules. No time restraints.

Just doing your best.

It allows me to tweak sessions, adapt exercises and even coach you through the movement.

I also find people can open up a little more about their journey in health and fitness a little better face to face.

The tunes are on and loud.

The atmosphere is majestic.

And it kicks off your Saturday in a great way!

It is regularly described as the best day of the week.

This game is like charity work...

You need to do something for nothing...

Stop expecting something for everything

You won't make progress every week.

You won't see the scales go down every morning.

Every workout won't be good never mind progressing every session or week.

You can't expect to just constantly do more.

Are you dopamine hunting or looking to get a result?

You need to just get your head down and stop expecting something for everything you do.

Delayed gratification is a super power.

We live in a time where so much around us is instant and when that starts happening it is easy to expect everything to be instant...

It doesn't work like that...

And all those things that you can get in an instant and you take from granted or don't appreciate... you would feel the same about fat loss, health and fitness if it was the same...

You earn this.

You can earn this!

Keep going.

Someone that struggled to just get consistent and understand what needed done...

Being active, eating healthy and wanting something won't always make it happen...

Some small tweaks and understanding with a crazy work ethic... boom!

I needed to keep that start bit in...

28, 38, 108... it doesn't matter!

Pursue, chase, go after whatever it is that excites you!

You might not get it as quickly or effortlessly as someone else but that makes for a better adventure or even story if you want to share it.

Of you feel old go and speak to someone 10 years older and they will quickly bring you back to reality.

You are allowed to chase those goals.

You can chase those dreams.

They will be just as fun to chase now as they were 10, 20 or 30 years ago...

Let other people think what they want...

This is your life.

Love it. Live it.

I think you are perfect the way you are!! ♥️

However living a healthy lifestyle and doing something that makes you feel better about yourself can only be a good thing right?... 🤷‍♀️

You need to live life, but being happy the majority of your life is surely better than feeling good for a bit then dealing with the repercussions after.

Ecessive drink, sex/adultery, drugs, food, gambling, spending... Quick fixes for happiness.

These can all be enjoyed in moderation and without a negative consequence... Dont chase instant gratification, quick fixes or buy into things that sound too good to be true...

You will waste more time and effort doing these and having to start again.

You as a PERSON need to change.

Too many people want to have their cake and eat, too many people get in touch asking for one thing but are unwilling to do what needs done...

Too many people are not willing to change the way they live.

This life which has lead to weight gain, feeling crap or poor physical and mental health.

The idea of changing seems harder than staying where they are...

If you we were already truly happy with ourselves we would not want to lose weight, reduce fat, tone up, build muscle or feel better...

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲.

Take me for example, to become a bodybuilder I had to become a bodybuilder...

Live, train, think, eat, sleep... Be a bodybuilder.

To get anything you dont have you need to do something YOU have not done.

To look healthy it requires you to be healthy.

Healthy does not happen over night, neither does fat loss.

You can't chop and change your foods, good/bad, on it/off it, healthy for a bit then back to the way you ate before, then back to healthy or starving yourself - this is yo-yo dieting.

How many of you have googled 'best alcohol when dieting' or 'lowest calorie alcohol'?

Maybe your drinking habits are why you go around in circles - couple drinks, dont care, binge... Or couple drinks, hangover, binge and miss training for a couple days.

"What are the best snacks" - snacking could be what causes you to over eat

"Do you have good recipies??" - too many people need everything to be mega tasty - the food indusrty are clever and figured out that they can make you buy more food by making it taste unreal or morish... want more, buy more, they make more money.

"How can you eat the same thing all the time?"- I done a big post about this, you are probably eating the same things each day over the week already... Constantly mixing your foods up is always going to lead to the need for takeaways or fast food. It is a lot of pressure to out on yourself to be creative 2-6 times a day...

"Ahhh f*ck it! Who cares!! YOLO!" - This mentality needs changing. We all do only live once but being unhappy 80% of the time is not the best life...

"I will put it off until tomorrow" - dont put off until tomorrow what you can do today. Honestly tomorrow becomes next week, next week becomes a year, a year then feels like there is no point.

"I can be bothered... " - you may just be lazy. Being lazy is not a bad thing, I am pretty lazy but I am also self disciplined.

"Ahhh but..." - Making excuses is the biggest and worst way to lie to yourself. You and only you know when something is an excuse... But making excuses for something that benefits you is not a good idea. These lies will spread out and affect other aspects of life... A wise man once said to me "you can trust a thief again, but you cannot trust a liar"

"I am a fussy eater..." - try not telling yourself that for a couple days and see what happens... Being a fussy eater does not mean you need to eat crappy meals either, I have had a lot of them. Try new things, you may like them... but I am fussy and I never liked it when I was a kid...well grow up and dont be fussy. Now is the time to change that and try new things. :)

You are maybe someone that checks for results daily and gets put off when they dont see them... - this may be the only change a lot of you will need to make. Rome was not built in a day... Hell even Arbroath was not built in a day. It takes time. Stop. Expecting. Life Changing Results In 24 hours!! **LIFE** CHANGING. STOP.

Stop expecting a reward or a treat for being 'good'. Being good is going to get you what you want and have set out to get... You are not a dog or a child. The reward will come.

You need to become the person you want to be...

You can expect to keep living your life the way you do and get a different result.

You need to change.

It will take time but for most of us it needs to be done.

I have changed a lot over the past three years but I feel better for it. If you want to hear more about me I am happy to share!!

You need to start at the start...

Your body doesn't care what you used to be able to do...

It doesn't care what you think you can do...

Your body doesn't actually give a crap what you want to be able to do...

Your body needs you to slow down and give it a chance to catch up with your excitement and determination.

Start slow and build things up!

I don't care what level you are at too many people jump too far forward or go too extreme too soon!

Be a beginner.

Make it easy and reap the benefits for little effort compared to what you used to do... this spell doesn't last that long... enjoy it while it lasts.

There is a spell at the start where you do very little but see loads of progress...

Too many people want to brag about how much they do but settle on getting no results... who cares? 🤷‍♂️

It is not embarrassing being a beginner... it is embarrassing telling everyone what you are going to do and then not managing to string together 2 days...

I know it feels like it is boring...

But It is boring listening to you say week in and week out that you need to make a change, you need to restart, or that you have changed your plan again to achieve something different now...

You don't need to push harder or be more strict or "good"...

You need to swallow your pride and realise that you need to start at the start and that you are a beginner.

You are not racing anyone and it won't feel better you getting it faster...

Take you time.

This is not Val's final form... we have a half marathon next weekend and I will talk about her dropping over 30lbs in a proper post soon!

"Holy sh*t"

That was the response when I put two photos next to each other tonight to show him how bloody well he is doing!!!

We are 35lbs down and at the start he was certain that he was broken.

I swear the look of desperation when we had our first chat was really upsetting for me...

I knew he was at the end of trying anything...

I was able to build the trust up pretty quickly, get results ans make sure things were much much healthier...
