Life/training/prep can batter you sometimes and you can't always just take a holiday or stop...

But looking after yourself in some way is essential...

Because if you don't do it no-one will do it for you!

Self love does not need to be a weird thing or self sabotage.

It does not need to be massively expensive or over the top...

In fact the smaller the better it seems.

These things are little treats over my day that don't cost too much money or any calories.

These things look after me a little more and it seems to lead to me having better days...

A while back I would have laughed at you if you told me I would be doing all this...

But me now with my smoother skin and running mind would tell me to listen and start sooner!

Too many things I was just going through the motions...

But taking time and being present has made life just a little bit more lovely.

Health and fitness is everything...

And treats and rewards don't need to be food and money...

You can keep going.

Head has been back down...

I have actually got a new little challenge on the stairmaster that I want to document but let me give it one more whirl.

super nattys - standard was bloody mental!

Straight back to work! Work work and physique development work...

Trying to rehydrate after dehydrate.

Taking my dad's old bike for a whirl... what a blast!

Empire half marathon - the squad .runclub did an unreal job!

Have a busy life? And everything seems like a valid excuse to just not bother...

Yea, that is pretty common...

Most people aim for perfection... and do nothing.

Or they worry too much about what they should do and don't do anything...

Training can be more fun than you realise... and it sure as sh*t doesn't need to kill you everyday...

This client works away, loved to train and didn't eat like a nob...

So a couple small tweaks and training rocketed, energy went mental... and well the progress speaks for itself...

You might just need to toughen up...

I know people hate that.

But it is the truth.

I see PTs tell you to not worry about your physique but share their old photoshoots or they are in great shape and it is easy for them to say it...

I see PTs talk about balance but they just eat unhealthy and try to justify it...

I also see PTs slag other PTs off after they have not managed to get in shape themselves for whatever reason and just say it is vanity to try and make themselves seem more relatable...

You guys probably have not read as much as me about health and fitness...

But you still want to know and understand it...

Knowledge is great...

But action will move you along faster...

I have a million quotes and clichΓ©s I could pop in here...

But I just NEED you to understand that it will take time, it will feel tough, how you motivate yourself is up to you but you will need to do it...

Days off matter but not more than days on.

Balance is something earned not what you get from the start (80/20 is balance but a little lop sided)

Making a joke of it all only makes you look like a clown in six months time...

Take your goals seriously, but understand that life should be fun and having a laugh and a joke is essential for when it gets hard and to get you through it... not to stop.

Everyone else had to do what you need to do... stop thinking you deserve an easier route or that you are a case that requires something exceptional...

Be you.

But understand that you want to grow or even change...

Be the real you.

Fat loss seems like a brutal thing to a lot of people...

They are skeptical that it can be something they are able to stick to...

You need to understand that the only requirement with fat loss is a calorie deficit...

How you get yourself to start to take in less energy than your body burns is totally up to you, your lifestyle and enjoyment...

Enjoy eating a big meal at the end of the day? Bank your calories...

Enjoy little and often... that works but ensure you are filling yourself...

Don't like exercise... just understand that you are maybe missing the fitness side of it but it is not essential (I would still recommend moving!)

Keto, fasting, slimming world or any diet club... paleo, OMaD, high protein,... bloody whatever...

As long as calories are controlled you are sound!

Also, don't rush this... go slow and the results will come quicker...

Make it easy and you can keep going...

Time is the secret to mega results!

How you approach fat loss is up to you...

There are little secrets and trips and "hacks"...

But get the basics right and you will be totally golden.

I never want my social media to be a highlight reel...

I am not perfect. I have feelings. I am only human.

And if I am arrogant, overly confident, think highly of myself... I am sure others have similar feels too!

I won't get things right all the time.

I won't be right all the time.

And I know I won't be whatever another word for perfect would be with my feelings and emotions...

Maybe this is my hyper competitive side coming through... but I want you to see that too!

I aimed high and that pushed me to push as hard as I could...

I fell short of the target but the effort was unquestionable!

20 minutes after getting back last night I was back on the stairmaster...

60 minutes to think and clear my head!

It is unreal what exercise can do for your mind and soul!

Remember, I am using my body as a vessel to inspire, prove and share what happens when you do what needs done...

I am still not 100% sure what is going to happen these next two weeks but we will not be feeling sorry for ourself.

The community in Thrive is genuinely something I have never experienced...

I was always put off the idea of "community" or even teams... but I have come to realise that I cannot do this without people around me...

And I have come to see that people thrive in environments that grow and develop like they do themselves...

You guys will never realise how much you have helped me these past few months!

It is amazing to be a part of your journey but it is even cooler to have you all as a huge part in mine!

Thank you all for pushing hard to show me your efforts...

Thank you for listening to my advice and waffles...

Thank you all for making Saturday mornings unbelievable...

Thank you for the surprises and gifts they mean the world!

Training hard and eating healthy...

But not quite looking like you should for the effort you put in?

Reality check time...

If you want to look like everyone else keep doing what they all do!

If you want what others don't have you need to do what others won't do...

You want to feel good? Get lean? Improve your life?

Probably not going to be able to keep doing what everyone else is doing...

You can do what everyone does from time to time but most folk are not where they want to be or feeling that great day to day...

Getting this lean is not just a hit 10k a day steps or stop eating bread...

A little more goes into it...

But dropping body fat is dropping body fat and getting lean is just repeatedly dropping body fat for longer...

Nothing fancy or nothing crazy!

This is where coaching comes in... making the right choices to back off the gas to recharge.

When to pull calories lowrr or let the body do it's thing.

When to increase cardio or steps to expend more calories to keep things going!

It is noticing the trends that happen to sleep and stress over the weeks and months!

It is highlighting when something is looking mint when someone is constantly pointing out flaws or "fat bits"...

I am here to hold your hand when you need it and kick your behind when it is needed...

Just now you shooting with your eyes closed hoping something special happens... or you think because your pal had success doing some crash or is eating crap but stays slim you will just do the same...

It is not going to work.

There are rules to this game and once you play in them you can get very creative...

To fuelled with hundreds of carbs, training like a beast, gaining phases, dieting phases and TIME...

Oh mix that with grit and determination and we have something that is unbelievable...

Are you sat on the fence about pushing your physique but worry about work, family life, social life, being yourself...

Well there is a way and all that is asked for you is when it is time to work, work... when it is time to relax, relax...

Crazy crazy transformations require work but you are already working just not in the right direction...

What could your transformation photos look like?
