Alan marked his 90th birthday alongside Cindy’s birthday, making it a memorable occasion for everyone. ✨

Easter Is Over… But We’re Still Smiling ✨

One week on, and we’re still talking about the chocolate eggs and all the lovely bunny ears!

The Easter weekend was packed with all the good stuff:

✨ Spring sunshine making a long‑overdue appearance
🥚 Egg hunts that got surprisingly competitive
🍰 Tables full of hot cross buns, Easter bakes, and just one more mini egg
🍫 Chocolate eggs in every size imaginable (yes, including the ones that were “for later”)

From family get‑togethers and seasonal treats to community celebrations and chocolates tucked into bags, drawers, and coat pockets - we loved seeing Easter fully embraced.

Now it’s back to routine… with maybe a little leftover chocolate keeping us going 🍬

Thank you to everyone who got involved and helped make the weekend feel extra special. 💙

It’s been a busy and uplifting week at Sovereign Lodge as the team marked the birthdays of residents Beryl, Alexis, Valerie, Anna and Mary!

These moments are always a great reminder of what matters most in our homes: connection, familiarity and good company. Families joined us throughout the week, and the lounges were filled with relaxed conversations, shared smiles and plenty of cake ✨

While each celebration was different, the feeling was the same - a strong sense of community and the reassurance that every resident is supported, recognised and valued.

A big thank‑you to everyone who joined in and helped make the week even more special.

Scooter meet fun in Selsey! 🌟

Tenchley Manor Nursing Home took part in Selsey’s much‑loved monthly scooter meet yesterday, proudly sponsoring the event and joining in the community spirit.

Residents and team members enjoyed seeing the fantastic turnout, with plenty of impressive scooters on display and a brilliant atmosphere throughout the day. A big congratulations to the winners! 🛵

With National Gardening Day just around the corner, residents at Fornham House wasted no time getting into the spirit! 🌿

Yesterday afternoon, a group of resident gardening enthusiasts took a delightful trip to the local garden centre - purely for “research purposes,” of course. 😉

✅ Stocked up on beautiful new plants
✅ Made some important gardening decisions
✅ Enjoyed a well‑earned cuppa ☕
✅ Even bumped into an old friend and made a new one along the way!

Armed with a glorious haul of blooms, the team is now full of big ideas, bold visions, and excitement for the week ahead. 🌸

Our Story

Founded in 2005, here at Healthcare Homes we have 45 high quality residential and nursing care homes located throughout East Anglia and into the South of England. In all, our homes are registered to care for over 1,800 residents. In addition, within the group, our Manorcourt Homecare division has 12 homecare branch locations. From these, our team undertakes more than 1.5 million visits per annum to people requiring home-based support and care services. This includes everything from pop-in visits up to 24-hour live-in care. In total, the Healthcare Homes group employs over 3,000 staff. Our nursing and residential homes are located in: Suffolk Norfolk Bedfordshire Cambridgeshire Dorset Kent Bristol Hertfordshire Oxfordshire Middlesex Berkshire East Sussex Our homes include specialist teams who care for the elderly, including those living with dementia or physical disabilities.
