Founded in 2005, our mission has always been to deliver the highest standards of care where dignity is respected, where talents and interests are encouraged, and where life is lived to its fullest potential. We own and operate almost 50 residential, nursing and specialist care homes across Suffolk, Norfolk, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Dorset, Kent, Avon, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Middlesex, Berkshire, East Sussex and Hampshire, West Sussex and Essex. We also provide care to people in their own homes from our 11 homecare branches throughout East Anglia and into Greater London, and live-in care across the East and South of England. We’re thrilled to announce that Healthcare Homes' Christmas Companions campaign has been shortlisted as a Finalist in the 2026 Care Home Awards for Best Care Home Marketing, Advertising or PR Activities! 🏆

Throughout December, Healthcare Homes’ residents and clients were paired with someone from another home or home care branch and invited to share handwritten messages filled with memories, traditions and personal Christmas stories.

The initiative was created to help ease loneliness at Christmas, giving older adults the chance to connect, reminisce and form new friendships by sharing their fondest memories of the festive season.

The campaign highlights how small acts of connection can make a big difference, bringing warmth, community and companionship to the festive season, and we are over the moon to be shortlisted. 💙

Residents at Meadow House enjoyed a morning filled with joy as they spent time with some very special young visitors! Together, they took part in arts and crafts, played games, and shared plenty of giggles, followed by a homemade lunch, which they all enjoyed together later in the day.

Residents at Alexandra Care Home enjoyed a wonderful day out with a visit to the Tring Museum 🐾🌿

They spent time exploring an impressive collection of animals, discovering creatures of all shapes and sizes while strolling around together, sharing conversations and learning along the way.

One of the highlights was a sensory activity where residents placed their hands into mystery boxes to feel different fur and skin textures. The experience sparked smiles, laughter and plenty of conversation.

Our Story

Founded in 2005, here at Healthcare Homes we have 45 high quality residential and nursing care homes located throughout East Anglia and into the South of England. In all, our homes are registered to care for over 1,800 residents. In addition, within the group, our Manorcourt Homecare division has 12 homecare branch locations. From these, our team undertakes more than 1.5 million visits per annum to people requiring home-based support and care services. This includes everything from pop-in visits up to 24-hour live-in care. In total, the Healthcare Homes group employs over 3,000 staff. Our nursing and residential homes are located in: Suffolk Norfolk Bedfordshire Cambridgeshire Dorset Kent Bristol Hertfordshire Oxfordshire Middlesex Berkshire East Sussex Our homes include specialist teams who care for the elderly, including those living with dementia or physical disabilities.
