At the beginning of February 2026, an extraordinary team will step into one of the harshest environments imaginable for the Pulk & Peak Cold Frontier Expedition. When I first heard about this journey, I knew this was more than an endurance challenge. This is about purpose, leadership, and walking for something far greater than yourself.
In this episode, I sit down with three remarkable individuals whose courage and commitment deeply moved me.
I’m joined by Michael Cullen, widely known as Speedo Mick. Michael has walked well over 2,000 miles wearing nothing but his Speedos and footwear, raising more than £1 million along the way. His mission is close to his heart: supporting those affected by mental illness, homelessness, and disadvantaged children through his foundation. His story is a powerful reminder of what one person can do when they refuse to look away.
I also speak with Fatima Whitbread MBE, an international world record holder and multiple Olympic medallist. Fatima is also a survivor of the UK care system. She shares how her lived experience shaped her determination to create change through Fatima’s UK Campaign, which focuses on improving outcomes, protection, and empowerment for children within the care system. Her strength, honesty, and compassion are truly inspiring.
Leading this expedition is David Liddle. As a scout leader and mortgage broker, David brings grounded, steady leadership to an environment where preparation, trust, and mindset are everything. I loved hearing his perspective on what it takes to guide people safely through extreme conditions while keeping purpose front and centre.
In our conversation, we explore why this expedition matters, what leadership really looks like when comfort is stripped away, and how purpose becomes the fuel that keeps you moving forward when everything in you wants to stop.
This episode is about courage, service, and leading with heart, even in the coldest of frontiers.
