WOW WEE! what a beautiful busy day at the sauna.

Everything is starting to look so lush and colourful around the croft now. 🌷

We had lots of shared social sessions today, which always brings such a lovely energy to the place. Strangers crossing paths, sharing stories, laughing and sweating it out! 🧖🏻‍♀️

🔥 Looking forward to more of the same next weekend with more heat, water, woodsmoke & great folk!

We met some truly lovely people this weekend and had some really interesting conversations.
The sauna is such a natural facilitator for good chat, while treating your hardworking body and mind to some love, warmth and detoxification.

🗺️ Google Maps takes a wee while to update, so apologies if it’s still causing a bit of confusion.

It’s amazing just how different each location can feel. This one feels like your own little oasis, tucked between the fields, loch and hills. The honesty bothy, which acts as a changing and chill-out zone, adds so much charm and character. Looking out at the ponies in the field and the chickens perched on the fence, there’s something about this place that feels really unique… and a bit magical. 🧚🏻

But I won’t pick a favourite just yet…

Come and see for yourself. I’d love to know how it compares if you’ve been to the Arisaig and Glenfinnan locations ✨ 🦆

Happy Beltane 🔥

🌱 A time of transition, from spring into summer.

Beltane was often marked by sacred fires, lit to cleanse, protect and honour the returning sun. 🌞

Nothing feels more fitting than sauna, bringing in fire, heat, water, steam, breath and beautiful botanical scents from Yogioils, helping clear the body and still the mind.

A simple ritual to honour yourself, and the changing season. ❤️‍🔥

The sauna sits alongside what was formerly Moidart Smokehouse, and will now be a changing space and honesty bothy shop, where you can buy fresh eggs and coffee. 🥚 ☕️

Catch those views down to Loch Shiel, and when you’re done, watch the water from your cowboy bath fill our duck pond… keeping everyone happy 🦆

Who else pulled on the powers of Friday’s New Moon in Aries ♈️
A powerful portal for forward movement, new beginnings and getting-it-done energy… not one to sleep on 😴

Me and 🐾 Otis 🐾 (professional heat seeker) wrote our manifestations down and watched them burn in the flames 🔥

We’re calling in a busy season ahead, filled with faces old and new, and a deep pull to share the heat, unwind and reconnect 🦆 🌱

2026 has already been a bit of a crazy year, and you might be feeling the need to sweat it all out 👀💦 drink your electrolytes and be surrounded and bathed in nature.

Arisaig sauna is now based at The Dancing Duck Croft on the Ardnamurchan peninsula.

Come and enjoy this unique sauna experience on a working, lived in and ever growing family croft.

You’ll catch the ducks, chickens and dogs coming to say hello, and can watch them and their many entertaining personalities potter around from the window.

Down the field, the views open up over Loch Shiel and Ben Resipole. We get misty mornings over the water down here, and golden evenings with the sun peeking out from behind the mountain.

We have an old cowboy bath for dunking and reclining, and a makeshift shower for cooling you off.

Being more remote, it’s not unusual to spot the pair of sea eagles that nest nearby, and the odd deer darting over the fields.

The rusty roofed bothy shop acts as a changing space to hang your clothes and shelter from the elements. Here, you’ll be able to buy fresh eggs (from those critters you watch from the window) and locally roasted Glenfinnan Coffee, which will enhance your day down on this wild westerly peninsula.

This is the home the sauna used to sit outside in Glenfinnan, now available to book on Air bnb. We sure loved it there!!...

Arisaig Sauna … Croft Update 🌿🔥

We wanted to share a little update with you.

The sauna is now fully based on our home croft, Dancing Duck Croft. We had hoped to be open again by now, but there’s been more work and maintenance involved than we first anticipated … both on the croft itself and on the sauna. There’s still a bit of setting up to finish before we’re ready to welcome you properly.

Because of that, we’re now planning to reopen early in the new year, likely towards the end of January or into February. Possibly even early Spring. 🌱

A few important things to know …
• All vouchers will still be valid and can be used once we reopen
• We won’t be returning to Glenfinnan or Arisaig for the time being
• The sauna will be staying right here on the croft 🌲

The sauna will be part of our working home croft … not a pop-up spot. It’s a lived-in place, with animals about and everyday croft life happening around it, and we’re taking the time to get everything properly set up before opening.

Thank you so much for your patience and support while we get there. We really can’t wait to open the doors and welcome you to this next chapter at Dancing Duck Croft 🤍🔥
