That’s where our Baby & Child first aid classes come in. Sessions are practical, with hands-on practice of the techniques and skills you might need in the event of an emergency. You will leave feeling confident and empowered!

🥵What is the difference between heat exhaustion and heatstroke?

When can you just cool them down at home, and WHEN should you be CONCERNED and take IMMEDIATE action??

Heat exhaustion happens when your body overheats and can’t cool itself down. This can happen during a heatwave or in a hot climate. If not treated quickly, it can turn into heatstroke, which can be life-threatening.

Heat exhaustion symptoms are often the same in children and adults, although children are likely to get irritable too.

⚠️ Save this post as a reminder that the main sign that your baby or child is choking rather than gagging is SILENCE
If your child is gagging, you will usually hear them trying to clear their throat or the back of their mouth.
If your child is choking, there is a blockage in their airway, and they cannot make any noise.
