Our new trauma manikin arrived last weekend. Our thanks to Neil Rodgers from Phoenix STS who brought him up from Longford. Ruth Lee kindly donated the trauma manikin after an exceptional application by Gareth, highlighting the variety of event cover. This is the very first Trauma delivered to OMAC in Ireland. Weighing in at 30kgs your people moving skills will certainly be utilised. Femoral haemorage facilitation also. This will certainly increase everyoneโ€™s skills set. Again a massive THANKS to Ruth Lee Ltd for your generosity to voluntary organisations in fonating 40 Trauma manikins and to Neil from Ireland for facilitating the transportation of our new Trauma Maninkin.

Today is and the there is "Celebrating Men and Boys".

As we celebrate, we are reminded of the vital role that health and wellbeing play in every manโ€™s life - and has many benefits to both of these!

Whether providing first aid, emergency ambulance, or community care assistance around the country, being role models to young members in cadets or training the next generation of medics - the work boys and men do in the Order of Malta makes a difference to so many - let's celebrate them all!

So why not check in on the men (or boys) in your life - let them know it is OK to talk about their mental health and feelings and think about their own wellbeing and celebrate them today!

Happy International Menโ€™s Day! Thank you for showing us that strength is not just physical but also emotional and mental.
