Holistic Therapies by Bláithín Fagan What is Ki? Ki is Energy. We all have this Ki (Energy) within us. Some of us just need a little help to get it flowing again.

Some of us have blockages and it can make us feel unhappy, negative, sore or like the whole world is on our shoulders. Then there are some of us who feel happy, positive, and that can take on whatever the universe throws at us. The problem with a lot of people is that the tensions, the stresses, the pressures of modern living all combine to press down or diminish the flow of this energy inside us.

The person becomes rigid, almost as if we were constantly physically braced to withstand a blow. Ki Massage is designed to Break Down the resistance, to take the stress out of every set of muscles in turn so that the body becomes fluid and the energy is capable of flowing freely through that person again. As your Therapist, to get the best results for you, I use my own Ki (Energy) to help you shift the negative energies in you that are holding you back from being your best possible self. Most people will already have some experience of 'energy transfer' without calling it that, e.g we all have had the experience of being 'drained' after talking to someone who is upset or depressed. Ki Massage is the opposite side of that coin: there is a 'spill over' from the Therapist that begins to effect the other person positively.

The Palestine Action hunger striker taken to hospital on Wednesday has lost a seventh of her body weight and has a resting heart rate of 127 beats per minute.

Qesser Zuhrah, 20, is in a “deadly period” after reaching day 47 of her hunger strike on Thursday, while on remand at HMP Bronzefield, in Surrey.

Two of the group of eight strikers are on day 47 of their protest, while a third is on day 46, the same amount of time it took Martin Hurson to become the sixth of ten IRA hunger strikers to die in 1981
