Hi everyone!
If you've been past the practice today you'll have seen a lot of activity!
We are cleared out ready for our amazing, brand new, shop fit to start on Monday 🤓
We will be closed until Thurs 5th Oct but if you have any queries please call the usual phone number, 01302 830168, as the phones are diverted to our sister practice in the city centre. We will be able to answer all your questions there.
We look forward to seeing you all, with a gorgeous new look, from the 5th of October!

Hi all.. Opening times as below :
We will be closing at 12pm on Sat 24th Dec and reopen at 9am on Tues 3rd Jan.
If you need urgent treatment or have an emergency eyecare issue whilst we are not open please call NHS111 or visit A&E.
If there is a non urgent issue please text 07770 866639 and someone will respond.

Hi all. We hope everyone is keeping safe and well.
Just a quick post to reiterate that as a healthcare environment we will continue to require face coverings to be worn until further notice. This is in line with our governing bodies advice and is to protect our lovely staff members and our lovely patients! Thank you for your support 🤓

Please be reassured that we will be in contact with you if you have an appointment booked and we need to reschedule. We just wanted to thank all our patients, new and old, for their support in this funny old year!

We are now closed until Monday 4th January with the exception of Wed 30th Dec when we'll be open 11:30-13:30 for any emergency, post mince pie n sherry, repairs etc.

If you have any vision emergency in the meantime please call NHS 111.
Alternatively, if it not an emergency please email arthurleach8@gmail.com and someone will get back to you asap (this is monitored remotely).

Good evening everyone.
Great news..We are classed as essential healthcare this time around and are able to continue offering sight care over the next few weeks. We have all our Covid 19 measures in place, as we have had since reopening, to make the experience as safe and risk free as we can for us all. So, we look forward to seeing you soon. Good morning everyone.
Hope everyone has kept safe over these last few months.
We're reopening on Monday 29th June with eye examinations commencing the week after.
If you wish to make an appointment please call us on 01302 830168.
All social distancing policies and safety measures will be in place. This will include, but is not limited to, a 1 in, 1 out policy for the shop and wearing of facemasks where appropriate.
We ask that you adhere to our policies, that will be outlined when making your appointment, to keep our team, and you, as safe as we can.

Afternoon all. Hope everyone is keeping safe and sane!

We'll be open between 8.45am and 9.30am tomorrow, Friday 27th March, for any collections of spectacles or contact lenses. If there is any delivery tomorrow and it has your stuff on it I'll ring you immediately.

Please adhere to the one in, one out policy so if you see anyone, apart from me😉, in the practice please wait outside until they leave.

COVID 19 UPDATE

This practice is temporarily closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

We will be suspending all routine eye care services for the foreseeable future.

The safety of our staff and patients is our number one priority so we will still offer provision for urgent and essential care, this may initially be in the form of a telephone triage appointment.

Examples of Urgent care

Sudden onset of flashing lights and floaters
Sudden onset of significant reduced vision - one or both eyes
Acute red / painful eye or acute onset of significant sensitivity to light

Examples of essential care

Key workers with broken or lost spectacles or reduced VA making it difficult to carry out essential work

This email address is checked regularly and we will respond to you ASAP

If urgent advice is needed please contact 07770 866639 between the hours of 10am - 6pm or NHS 111 out with if you feel your symptoms cannot wait (please consider that this service will be very busy due to the ongoing circumstances)

SPECTACLES AND CONTACT LENSES:

We are aiming to open our sister practice in the town centre, The Cotler Practice, for approx. 2 hours per day a couple days a week as of Monday

At this time the days and times are not confirmed. Please email arthurleach8@gmail.com and we will reply with opening times as soon as we know.

If you are a patient of ours and have spectacles or contact lenses to collect we will be in touch to arrange collection/postage as soon as we receive them.

However, for most contact lens patients on a regular Direct Debit scheme with us we have taken steps for your lenses to be delivered directly to your home for the time being.
