We are pleased to advise that, as flu numbers continue to decrease, the health board has confirmed that the use of masks within the practice can now be stood down.

Patients are, of course, still welcome to wear masks if they prefer.

As flu cases rise across Highland and Argyll & Bute, we're taking extra precautions to keep everyone safe.

From this week, our staff in hospitals and community settings will be wearing masks as a protective measure.

We would also ask that visitors to our hospitals also wear masks which will be available on arrival.

This helps us protect our patients and keep our essential services running when you need them most.

Please only visit NHS Highland sites if you are symptom free and limit the number of visitors to relatives and loved ones to help keep everyone safe.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Dear patients, you may be aware that there is currently an outbreak of flu nationwide. For patient and staff protection our Infection Prevention and Control Team has advised us along with other Health Boards in Scotland to use fluid resistant surgical masks, similar to those used during COVID. If you are coming to the surgery for an appointment or to collect something, please wear a face mask if you can. We can provide you with a mask at the surgery should you require one. Thank you for your support, Arrochar Surgery.

An article about our wonderful practice nurse Jean 😍 Jean will be well know to the majority of of our patients whom I’m sure will agree that she more than deserves the RCN peoples choice award mentioned in the article. There is still time to nominate if you have not already done so, with nominations closing on the 14th of November

When most nurses have retired after decades of NHS frontline care, Jean Cairns continues working for her patients in Arrochar.
