Hello!
I’m Lauren, a local Arun resident, qualified KGHypnobirthing teacher and soon-to-be midwife.
I am pleased to announce that from this July I will be offering group hypnobirthing courses at a local venue in Arundel.
I am very passionate about supporting and empowering families throughout pregnancy, birth and beyond and I enjoy advocating for women and supporting their choices.
I hope that you will find that hypnobirthing offers you the tools and techniques to have a calm and positive birth experience.
If you are pregnant, congratulations!
You can complete a hypnobirthing course at any point during your pregnancy, but it is recommended that you start the course between 20-30 weeks of pregnancy if possible to enable you time to practice before your birth.
A hypnobirthing course consists of 4 x 2/2.5 hour sessions, spread across a month.

What is Hypnobirthing?
💛 Hypnobirthing is so much more than ‘just breathing’, it is a system of ‘letting go’ of fear, assumptions and preconceptions and trusting that your body is designed to do this.
🐝 Throughout your life, you have been made to fear birth. When you experience fear in labour it can cause the labour to slow down or stop. This can lead to pain and intervention.
⭐️ A hypnobirthing course is made up of lots of little things that, put together, make a very big difference:
- Hypnobirthing enables you to build positive associations with birth
- It provides you with the tools and techniques to feel calm and less anxious
- It removes the fear of the unknown by providing you with great antenatal education.
What will I learn on a KGHypnobirthing course?
💛 Breathing, relaxation and visualisation exercises
🐝 Comforting massage
⭐️ The role of the birth partner and how they can help and support you
💛 Knowledge and information about labour and the birth process
🐝 Understanding of how the mind and body work together
⭐️ How your body is designed to give birth, and the hormones involved.

What will I get from the course?
💛 The tools and techniques to practice and enable you to have a calm, relaxing and positive birth experience - no matter whether you have a vaginal birth or a Caesarean section.
🐝 Access to a WhatsApp group which will provide you with the opportunity to chat with other parents, and speak to me and ask me questions at anytime.
⭐️ A KGHynobirthing e-book and audio files to play during your pregnancy and labour.
