Wimbledon has arrived here at Ascot! Our wonderful residents who played Tennis in their life time are now sitting back and enjoying the games in the air conditioned Bistro along with a cold Pimm's...What a way to watch a match!

We were delighted to have welcomed our newest residents to the Signature at Ascot family this weekend 💕

This lovely couple is settling in to their new home very well - they couldn't come at a better time! The weather is great so basking in the sunshine in our beautiful gardens hasn't been a problem. They have been spending quality time together, making new friends, getting involved with activities we've been running and, most importantly, building a strong rapport with every team member.

Last week was Royal Ascot Week 🐴, so we had a light-hearted competition at the home for the Best Dressed.

Loved ones and locals from the wider community were welcome to pop in and show off their best outfits. We saw some wonderful fascinators from the ladies, and some very sharp suits from the men! 🎩👒

Residents were then tasked with choosing their favourite and here are the stars of the show 🌟

Carers Week 2025 at Signature at Ascot 💜

We were delighted that our carers in the team here all enjoyed a breakfast snack and got a chance at our Lucky Dip! A great time was had by all. It was lovely for all team members to appreciate our carers' hard work, dedication and resilience.

We want to say a big Thank You to all of our carers at Signature at Ascot and across all Signature homes. You all make our residents' lives more enjoyable and comfortable - we couldn't do what we do, without you! 🥰

We enjoyed an afternoon of Music Therapy and Garden Therapy. Francisco visited to play the harp which our residents enjoyed listening to, then some ventured outside to the home's gardens for the last of the day's sunshine. A sensory walk around the gardens was relaxing, followed by a well-earned rest on the bench.

Due to the slightly hotter weather, we tucked into some delicious fruit lollies. They are perfect for maintaining a good body temperature during the summer season, especially for residents who struggle with taking on lots of extra fluids. They also just taste very refreshing! 😋

🎨 Painting for Pride 🎨

We are nearly halfway through Pride Month now, so what better way to honour this than by embracing the rainbow!? We tasked our residents with painting, or colouring, some rainbow imagery for us to stick up around the home - or in residents' rooms.

It's so wonderful to see the vibrant colours brightening up the home.

Every Sunday, we host Holy Communion at the home for those who wish to participate. It is great for residents to retain their religious practices while staying with us. It promotes familiarity in their lifestyle and offers the opportunity to make friends within the group. Our team members accompany the residents and aid with reading text and preforming prayer. ⛪✝️
